APEX Campaign missing?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys.

I'm trying to get into the new campaign, but I seem to be missing some rather important things. If I try and start a new APEX Campaign I get an error saying something about a missing txt-file for Campaign (it does not mention which campaign the error is for). I see no entry for the APEX campaign under the campaign menu item, only the old Arma3 campaign. I can get to the new campaign missions by clicking on the APEX tile on the main menu, but this way I get to chose freely between all the campaign missions and I see no cut-scenes or briefings. Anyone seen anything like this and know how to get it fixed?

I have no mods installed.

This is whar I see when I select the Campign option in the menu. No APEX Protocol, only The East Wind:

Weirdly enough, this issue is only present in the stable branch. If I switch to dev it works as expected.

The campaign appears fine for me, so its either an issue with your installation (likely - verify your game cache) or some sort of conflict with another custom campaign (unlikely - remove other campaigns and try again).

I was receiving a config error after completing each mission of the Apex campaign while playing 100% vanilla, but it did at least show up for me. Not the smoothest roll out in history.

Have you verified your game cache by any chance? I did immediately after downloading Apex before even opening Arma and sure enough there were a couple of files I had to redownload. Worth a try if you haven't already.

I have no custom campaigns or mods installed and game cache verified OK.

Awesome! Well, not that it happens, but the fact it is ticketed and hopefully on its way to be fixed.

Just a question; does Apex Protocol contain cut-scenes? When I start the campaign on the dev branch I get no cut-scenes before it starts.

I found a solution.
- Game start
- Come into the menu the user - user Arma3
- Create the new user - PLAYER 1  . Save.
- Single game \Company \Apex - to play, stop game. Come into the menu the user, to replace the user of PLAYER 1 with the main user Arma3. Save, close game.
- Come in the conductor - C:\Users\nickname\Documents\Arma 3 - Other Profiles\PLAYER%201\Saved\steam\meta  copy the cacheItems.map.
- Come in the conductor - C:\Users\nickname\Documents\Arma 3 - Other Profiles\user Arma3\Saved\steam\meta  to insert the file cacheItems.map.
In the menu of game, your profile, again there is an Apex company.

I also have this question. Apex gives me no cut-scenes, and the missions are playable - but not beatable. I cannot pass the first mission due to the game just not doing anything after reaching the last objective... (The one where you are supposed to breach a building).

What I tried:

1)Verify game integrity

2)Reinstalled ArmA 3

3)Running with no mods or extra scripts

Thank you! This made the campaign visible - however I still am getting no cut-scenes and can not pass the first mission :<

Hey guys, just wanted to check in. This is still an issue for me.

Campaign is missing from the main menu, after 2 re-installs and running vanilla.
