(Wasteland) My specs: AMD FX-4170 Zambezi 4.2GHz ASUS HD7850-DC2T-2GD5-V2 Radeon HD 7850 2GB G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM003 1TB 7200 RPM Is that AMD CPU's just blow in comparison to Intel? I've tried 2 good graphics cards but computer wouldn't recognize them, I read a review on the computer I have saying to run any decent graphics card I'll need a better power supply. Thing is, this computer was bought in July 2012. Shouldn't need a any further upgrades. I was looking at the Nvidia GeForce 650 1GB but I don't even know if it would work. According to task manager it is still running. I've read about other people having this as a bug. I can run arma 2 and arma 2OA along with call of duty. I doubt the HD 2000 is supported, since it's almost 2 generations behind and it is an integrated Intel GFX solution. Then put Shadow on High, PIP - Low, PostProc Quality - Low, Objects - High, Textures - High. Keep the standard View Distance. BTW, shadow on high is because I think they're rendered on the CPU if put on Normal, just like in ArmA II. You need to balance the load, divert more to your powerful GPU. I think Vsync is your main problem, it limits your FPS if you can't keep it close to your monitor's refresh rate, which is probably 60. Turning off Vsync may open up High preset for you. Do you know of anything else I can add to launch options to improve FPS? Btw, I've tried two graphics cards, one was really nice too but neither were recognized by computer and HP drivers are a pain to find, or at least one thats work. There are currently no features that would take advantage of the Nvidia's CUDA engine. 1) Ragdolls & general simulation is a CPU thing; 2) What you're talking about is fluff like EXTRAAAZZ particlezzz & dust puffs that Nvidia likes to advertise a lot. :) The latter is not in the game.
