Can anyone help me decipher my .RPT file to see why my server crashed

Recommended Posts

So since 1.54 update our server has been the most unstable it has ever been playing ArmA with a number of mid game crashes each week. This was something that never happened at all with 1.52 but now seems to be a reality.

Initially thought to be because of mods (which probably play a large part) it has gotten better of the past weeks as each of the mods in our modset have been updated to suit 1.54.

Anyway tonights most recent crash came at a punishing part of the game, we had been playing for nearly 90 minutes and we just about to accomplish the primary objective when the server crashed taking everything we had worked for with it.

At the time of the crash I was playing as Zeus taking control of a enemy Technical, I was driving it around in the dark quite poorly and ended up crashing it into a shed. As I pressed esc. to go back to the Zeus interface my game crashed. As I was trying to load back in, all the other players started texting me saying the server had crashed too.

Anway here is the last few lines of the .RPT file. before it there were just many many reports of Object not found (message type_91) and (message type_119) which I'm lead to believe is Zeus adding and removing objects from the battlefield.

Not much to go on in that RPT snippet can you post the whole thing to pastebin and link back here?

Those "object not found" messages are super-common and probably not the cause of the crash.  Someone explained to me what causes them but I've forgotten (maybe Zeus as you mentioned).

edit:  found it (credit to QuikSilver on Discord)

execute the command '#exportJIPQueue' on the server, to learn more about those errors. It will generate a file in the same folder as RPT. Basically it occurs when a machine deletes a non-local object.

Not much to go on there either unfortunately... at least to my tired eyes :)   Maybe someone else will notice something I missed.

You said the server actually crashes - does it generate .minidump files in the root directory?  If so you can upload those to the BI tracker for them to check.

My guess would be a mod conflict / out of memory error.... there have been lots of these since the 1.54 update.  Your best bet might be to try using a vanilla mission to see if it is in fact a mod issue... or something with a limited modset like @ace3, @cba_a3, @tfr

get rid of Leight's OPFOR Pack, has horrible configuration with a ton of errors in it.
