opendome 91 Posted December 29, 2015 So I haven't played in over half a year and I'm wondering if launch parameters still help performance or not anymore? My Rig: I5-6600K MSI GTX 970 16 GB G-SKill RAM Thanks!

Jackal326 1167 Posted December 30, 2015 does anyone know? If they did, I'm sure they'd post. You should know by now thread bumping is frowned upon.
opendome 91 Posted December 31, 2015 Sorry wasn't intended as a bump and I communicated it poorly. What I intended was changing from a specific "know for sure" to a general does anyone know anything or heard anything sort of thing
Greenfist 1863 Posted December 31, 2015 Nothing has changed about the parameters, most of them still don't affect performance. So only ones you need are: -maxmem=2047 since without it the game uses a lower value. -nologs in case some mod or mission creates an excessive amount of log spam. -malloc=xxxxx The custom memory allocator. The default one or 'system' seem the best options currently. Things like -cpucount or -exthreads never made any positive difference, because the game autodetects them correctly anyway. I know there's still people who believe some other parameters or values help greatly, but I think those people also believe in santa claus and the tooth fairy.
x3kj 1247 Posted January 2, 2016 -nologs in case some mod or mission creates an excessive amount of log spam. if they do i would rather not use the mod/mission as this indicates to poor execution and propably a performance drain
