Still a purpose for parameters?

Recommended Posts

So I haven't played in over half a year and I'm wondering if launch parameters still help performance or not anymore?

My Rig:

I5-6600K

MSI GTX 970

16 GB G-SKill RAM

Thanks!

does anyone know?

If they did, I'm sure they'd post. You should know by now thread bumping is frowned upon.

Sorry wasn't intended as a bump and I communicated it poorly. What I intended was changing from a specific "know for sure" to a general does anyone know anything or heard anything sort of thing

Nothing has changed about the parameters, most of them still don't affect performance.

So only ones you need are:

-maxmem=2047  since without it the game uses a lower value.

-nologs  in case some mod or mission creates an excessive amount of log spam.

-malloc=xxxxx   The custom memory allocator. The default one or 'system' seem the best options currently.

Things like -cpucount or -exthreads never made any positive difference, because the game autodetects them correctly anyway.

I know there's still people who believe some other parameters or values help greatly, but I think those people also believe in santa claus and the tooth fairy.

if they do i would rather not use the mod/mission as this indicates to poor execution and propably a performance drain
