Terrain detail

Recommended Posts

Well I tried this on verry low and verry high and the difference is totally maddening.

I want to know does this effect players for EG... if you have

terrain detail at Very High you could be hiding behind a slight elevation in terrain...then with someone on verry low that elevation would not exist thus exposing the other person to be shot at ?

I dont know and i would like to ?

It always defaults to low in multiplayer, to change it it needs to be changed from the mission itself and thus forced to all players.

Well i have never came accross a mission with it on very high. Just as well my PC cant cope with that.

Might aswell keep it on low all the time anyway. OFP runs so much smoother that way and i have max out texture resolutions and such.

Thats Nice to know.

It makes sense that it's defaulted to the lowest on multiplayer games, just to avoid conflicts.

But in SP it's really hard on framerates, but really worth it. Looks much better.

Kegetys is right ... as usuall. It defaults to "low" in MP (better detail than in OFP 1.46, which was "very low", but still almost no speed hit).
