How to aim a deployed rifle?

My weapon has a bipod.  I go prone. To deploy the bipod I select "CapsLock".

 

Now that I have deployed my rifle how do I aim it?  

 

The weapon is pointing at the ground.

Generally, you would move your mouse to aim.

 

Is that a mod weapon? Sounds like it's broken.

It pretty much depends on the terrain you're on, When your body is higher than the bipod, you can't aim up. Did you try it on flat terrain? (try a road or smth)

Pretty much what rundll.exe stated is all, but note that sometimes you can aim your weapon or move it when the bipod is down because of the building walls in the way, I've had this problem many times of me attempting to deploy a bipod near a building and it sometimes just does not move.

^{Yes I have confirmed: If you are facing down a steep slope the rifle will point downhill and it can be difficult raising it again.}

 

^{In a further test, I got behind a boulder and deployed the weapon on top of the boulder. This is a great success in game but I think in real life this would be dangerous!}

It's not up to the game to decide if it's dangerous for you ;) 

 

The deploy limitations can be pretty annoying, but they make sense.
