Throwable Satchel Charge!

For some reason this isn't working for me. I'm testing with an Explosive Expert, I cycle through my grenades but other explosives don't show up, what am I missing?

Make sure its the Explosive expert, demolitions expert, or engineer in men category of NATO. I've not worked on Recon, special forces, or any other faction/side as of yet.

Okay, It was a NATO Explosive Expert I tested with but I will look it over again. Having Recon and Special Forces will be nice in the future.

Are you aware of any mod conflicts that may cause an issue preventing your mod from working?

Well I still can't get it to work. I run a lot of mods I suspect an incompatibility with one of them and this mod. I will sometime this weekend to figure out which mod(s) may be causing the issue.

I finally got a chance to test it too Dr@gon and it worked fine for me... where do you have it in load order... i have mine as last to load or at the bottom right now... running about 45 mods and it worked fine for me... let us know what you find...

Hm ... i´m wondering whats about the newest version: I can´t throw as far as in the videos, the explosions ist FAR greater ( have to run up to 30-40m ) and i cannot see the cluster grenade. All NATO, CSAT Units tested, no cluster granate in VA, with or without any mods. And the satchel is way to powerful.

Okay I have tracked the problem I am having to the following scenario;

 

If I test as a generic NATO Demolition Expert the mod works fine.

If I take the same soldier to an ammo box with Arsenal enabled and completely change the load out (uniform, headgear, goggles, vest, backpack, weapons and yes leave the satchel charges in place, then the mod no longer works.

 

I prefer custom load outs for my player and team mates when creating single player missions. Somewhere in that process the mod seems to break even if I am using a NATO Explosives Expert with the applicable demo charges and satchels.

hmm could you send me a sample mission for mission editor.... if your manually adding them the class name is Tsachel.

My small group has been enjoying your throwable Satchel mod, it seems that the new update to ARMA3 has broken the mod. I can only hope that your mod gets updated so we can use it again.

Hi imager. I've got a release coming hard for FOA. Once that is complete I'll give TS a look. I havnt updated this one sense I moved it into Airborne. Thanks for letting me know. :)

I will need to re work it sooner or later with the stuff I've learned and make it less CBA or non CBA dependent.

I've been asked to re-upload Throw able satchel. I redid the effects, and sounds. Got rid of the cluster grenade as it will need work. You will find a Demolition Specialist under NATO Men. The class name is B_Soldier_Demo_F who carries the throw able demo. YES AI will use this, but 70% of the time foolishly! The satchel is found in Arsenal under the name Throwable Satchel Charge. The class name is Demo_AMMO. Just put the backpack on character and start. The arming switch will automatically be added.
