That's not a bad thing, since the Devs made it on purpose. If you get the gun via scritpting you can use it and only get some notification for it, so that you are able to play a mission where you are forced to use a DLC weapon even if you didn't buy it. That is the idea so as not to divide the MP community into the "haves" and "have nots". Players who do not use the DLC can still use it, but will get watermark-like pop-ups encouraging them to by the DLC. They can even "try before they buy" in the Arsenal. How is all that a "bad" thing?
