Here another little game:

http://treff.bundeswehr.de/data/05_spiele/index.html

For a small short-term memory exercise click the MorseCode game.

You´ll see an interface with 2 buttons in the center, after game start you hear an audio tone and see displaying of a number on one of the 2 buttons that indicate which, and how often that button need to be pressed, you have to remember sequences from start to end and repeat them.

The programm distinguishes between long and short tones (right interface button=long tones /left interface button=short tones), you need to repeat the sequence correctly by pressing the according buttons. The clue is as you progress the morse code gets longer and longer as it builds up on the first morse code.

For the game to start click "Neues Spiel" on the left hand menu.

I have my best success when I just click like crazy while moving the mouse slowly. I then by pure chance get around 10 or so orbits that last. I haven't ever got one that doesn't slowly decay though.

Just by chance I got one thats done over 300 est revoutions by now, the moon keeps aligning its orbit so it never crashes into the earth. I have created the perfect orbit biggrin.gif

Well I'm sure it will crash eventually, law of average and stuff, the moon won't always be in the right spot.

I have one going that screams by earth just missing the atmosphere then loops out towards the moon and comes back doing its high speed pass again. Been going for a couple hours now.

That's a fun applet for those slow moments at the office. I wish it had a way of displaying the ephemeris data, or to let you enter it manually -- that way we could exchange and compare our success stories.

Hmz this is what i did, try it, it's pretty damn hard.

-I made the dot make an '8' around the earth and moon

- On another attemp, the dot went straight to the earth, stopped, stood still for about 15 seconds and then returned to the moon biggrin.gif

Pretty impressive stuff huh?
