fruity_rudy 16 Posted March 6, 2015 My performance was like a dream. Now with latest patch, I got framedrops, super low fps in towns like kavala, other choppers are lagging.. To sum it up, playing is crap right now. Do I have to do that verify game cache thing in steam even if I got a SSD??
dav 22 Posted March 6, 2015 Drop object and view to 500.
fruity_rudy 16 Posted March 7, 2015 So after the patch I have to drop VD to 500 which wasn't necessary before?? That totally makes no sense to me.. Good patch though
icehollowpoint 10 Posted March 10, 2015 I get this too. Honestly if the performance is just going to get worse with every patch I'm going to uninstall it.
nikiforos 450 Posted March 10, 2015 I guess it works like more features worse performance. Can be wrong though!
EDcase 87 Posted March 10, 2015 Strange, it seems a bit better for a friend and I. With mods? Try different memory allocator (Look up 'maloc' startup parameter)
fareast 20 Posted March 10, 2015 No prob here slightly better performance than1.38..always defrag after update
st!gar 3 Posted March 10, 2015 (edited) Performance is broken. Dropped every view option to 500. Didn't work for shit. Game is now unplayable. Fix it. --- My computer. Two "NVIDIA GeForce GTX TITAN Z"s in SLI. 32GB RAM. "Intel Core i7-3960X". 64-BIT "Windows 7 Ultimate". Game runs from a fast SSD-harddrive. nikiforos 450 Posted March 10, 2015 Strange personally I don't have these problems with 1.40 . Are you on stable or on dev branch?
st!gar 3 Posted March 10, 2015 Are you on stable or on dev branch? I'm currently reinstalling the game. I'll compare when it's done.
cosmic10r 2331 Posted March 11, 2015 I had 20 fps in the title screen after update. Verified steam cache, had to update nvidia drivers Now it's running the best I have seen yet...
bullhorn 18 Posted March 11, 2015 I record the game at 1080p30fps and play at the same time with most settings set pretty high with pretty much the same FPS as I had in 1.38, perhaps even slightly more. Don't blame the game for your crappy system or setup. :)
st!gar 3 Posted March 11, 2015 Re-installing improved the Dev Branch, but not vanilla. Not much of a problem for me, as I only play Dev Branch, but still. Don't blame the game for your crappy system or setup. My PC is a fucking nuclear power plant. There is zero excuse.
icehollowpoint 10 Posted March 19, 2015 My problem seems to be since the update, I can play about one mission fine. Everytime a new mission is loaded, the game gets progressively and progressively worse until its literally unplayable. Same thing when I'm trying to make missions in the editor. Go to preview, first run fine, back to editing, preview.... and it begins. The degenerative decline. Its not a mod problem either, I checked that, as well as eliminating the usual suspects (MCC etc)
teilx 4 Posted March 21, 2015 (edited) . Everytime a new mission is loaded, the game gets progressively and progressively worse until its literally unplayable. This is an ultra old problem since Operation Flashpoint....it occours sometimes more, sometimes less(Dev's referred in those days to memoryflush with no success ...push -+shift & type flush^^ it is still in arma :pill:) It was also recently mentioned a bit in an interview hope for" running better and with more stability for a longer period of time." but there has never been an improvement Edited March 21, 2015 by TeilX
