Moon_chilD 200 Posted January 25, 2015 Hey guys, simple problem: My squad.xml doesn't work at all anymore. Right now I host it from: https://armasquads.com/ But it also didn't worked properly when I hosted it on my own server. The thing is, it worked before (on either the website and my own server) Of course I used the right username and the right playerID (I made sure like 10 times now) Any Ideas? Many Greetings STAF|Moony
ratszo 17 Posted January 26, 2015 Mine is working. Did you change profile? Maybe recheck the addy on the profile --/docs/arma3/profiles....

Richie 330 Posted January 26, 2015 Ours work fine, we host ours on Dropbox.com Maybe the host is blocking it or something in your profile changed after the 1.38 update, I'm not really helping but i can confirm squad.xml work, maybe redo yours and try again. mjmfighter 10 Posted January 28, 2015 Are you sure they work? We just switched our hosts from windows to linux. All settings are the same just a different operating system. The windows box showed squad xml's just fine, but the linux box does not show them.
R0adki11 3949 Posted January 28, 2015 All working for my squad FUSION, the squad XML set-up hasn't really changed since OFP. Is it a particular server which it doesn't display on? is the XML being blocked by that server?
mjmfighter 10 Posted January 28, 2015 All working for my squad FUSION, the squad XML set-up hasn't really changed since OFP. Is it a particular server which it doesn't display on? is the XML being blocked by that server? It shouldn't be blocked on my server. The only settings I know of that could have a potential of blocking it are having the profiles param messed up when starting the server and then the MaxCustomFileSize in basic.cfg, and these are set correctly and work. Is there any other settings that could effect a server now showing any squad xmls?
mjmfighter 10 Posted January 30, 2015 Just did another test on another one of my servers, seems like squad xml files are not working on linux servers. Tried on a debian and a ubuntu server.
Jackal326 1181 Posted January 30, 2015 Is it called 'Squad.xml' or 'squad.xml'? You probably already know this but Linux servers take issue with any file names containing capitalised/upper-case characters, at least that is my experience with having to rename a lot of the PBO files, perhaps its the same for squad.xml files too? EDIT: Upon re-reading your post I may have misread that you're not hosting the squad.xml on your Linux server but simply playing on it, so the above is probably irrelevant. Yes we are just playing on the server and not hosting it. I have even tried a wget from the server with the squad url and it was successful in downloading the xml file. It seems as if the server just doesn't want to download it/use it.
