I played the first 4 or 5 missions, then I couldn't progress properly/at all because I had lost my weapons cache. I am still waiting for a patch that fixes this so I can finally start playing it.

Nogova is amazing, it is very well done and I really like that one. Features, such as opening doors, are very nice and add to the overall value.<span id='postcolor'>

Pretty much sums it up for me.

I really like this game, it is the only game I play.

After being screwed around with release dates for well over a month (Ozisoft couldn't organise a root in a brothel), all the while unable to use any new addons as BIS decided everyone had to buy Resistance, effectively PAY to get the patch (how many companys charge for patches) I finally got my hands on a copy.

Resistance seemed fantastic, till the weapon loss bug appeared, I resumed 3 times & eventually gave up on the campaign.

Now we wait for a patch to fix a bug that severely wrecks the game, and again we wait for months with no sign of an actual release date.......

Add to this the fact that there is not 1 public server in Australia so the multi player scene is not exactly huge & I can honestly say I'm not really impressed.

Before Resistance I was quite happy with Bis & OFP, However now I have a bitter taste in my mouth.

OfpR was a good expansion. But only the single player campaign. For me the MP part is nearly unplayable (over the internet).

Low pings and some MP bugs. It's no fun to play if you can not hit the enemy beacuse of the lag. confused.gif

So i don't see any improvements in the MP engine...

Well then I can say that I am glad I havn't gotten resistence yet.

I can't wait til I do. But I won't buy it until all the bugs are fixed up.

I suppose that will happed when GOTY edition comes out.

Well I'm a little disapointed really. The bug has killed the game for me. I haven't really touched it that much and it looks like by the time the patch is released I'll have bought some other games and won't really get back to it. A shame really b/c I do like OFP, but it's starting to get a little long in the tooth for me. I'm not a multi sort of guy so sp is where it is at for me. I'm starting to get frustrated with the limitations with the AI, especially with the new campaign where you need to keep your guys alive, but they have no desire to stay alive smile.gif Overall the gameplay mechanics of the game are at an end for me. I hope new tech is on the horizon that will blow me away like I was when I first tried the demo.

I got my OFP in Sept. 2001, and never regretted it. only thing that pissed me off was CM not releasing OFPR in US alongsied EU.

i so far didn't experience weapon-loss bug, but it is stalling me from finishing latter half of campagin. Overall, I was impressed with new isle, functions, and graphical improvments.

MP seems to be better with socket, except for that ghost problem.

but patch is in works, so i am content. smile.gif

Ha, I was pissed of before you, when OFP CWC was released 2+ months later in North America than Europe. I couldn't wait that long, so in July I got an UK import of the game for like $20 more than what it sold for in September. But that $20 was well worth it when I had so much more time playing v1.00 and v.1.10. I just couldn't wait so long after playing the demo and some user made missions for it.

Doh, for me 1.75 is fine. I haven't really discovered any critical bugs. AI can be really good if you know how to control it. OK, that weapons disappearing bug is something that should be fixed a while ago, but i haven't really discovered that bug. Other bugs are just minor bugs to me.

No complaints here. I finished the campaign over this past weekend. Lots of fun. Didn't run into any problems with the inventory although I always seemed to have plenty of everything, which sort of defied the purpose of "scavenging weapons". At the end of the campaign I had plenty of AA, shitload of RPGs and more AK74s than I could count.

I love the new island and graphical improvements. Though I wish BIS finally addressed the tracer thingie. I don't think people realize just how better and more professional the game would look with better tracer textures. They also gotta take tracers off handguns and machine guns (except for every 5th round or so).

Well, i'm still loving all the new stuff you can do with it. I'm still playing - It gets a "solid hit" from me smile.gif

OpF:R is a solid hit for me. It added in enough stuff to make it worthwhile for me to buy it and added a nice backstory to the OpF world. Plus some of the features (handguns, dropping items) were a really great addition to the game.

My cons is having to drop my visual quality in order to play the game without choppiness / crashing. I now find it very hard to shoot guys over 300m away using a normal sight, whereas in v1.4 (with better resolution) it was hard but not impossible. I know I have to upgrade my machine, but I don't like it when a game rubs it in!
