I was just curious how many people here watch mail call on the history channel? I think its a very interesting show.

What do you guys think?

I doubt many people here get the History Channel. Oh well, I do, and I watch it whenever it's on, it's a good program.

Only a guy like R. Lee Ermy could host that show.

HOORAH!.

Oh man, I love it. Ermy is just a bad ass- I mean, no other host I can think of can just grab an Ak47 and fire a couple rounds into a flak jacket to answer a question- every other host is a candy ass boot compared to Ermy.

Btw, I wrote in an Email asking about VBS1 biggrin.gif

I watched it a couple times, I didn't really like it. I found Ermey corny and they didn't really have any cool stuff on. Wow he can drive a tank over a haystack. Look at that he used a sharp sword to cut a watermelon...

Exactly!, thats what makes the show so good, if was done differently, they would probably just show stock footage to answer a question and not the real deal.

How many other Q&A hosts could fire a civil war cannon, or an AK-47?

Anyone ever seen that show called "Ghosts of War" where that Croc Hunter dude went to these pacific islands and crawled around gun emplacements and caves and found Japanese skeletons and went diving into sunken WW2 ships finding skeletons and guns. And he sat in a japanese fighter sitting at the bottom of a shallow lagoon.

I thought it was pretty cool, I wish I could do that. Plus the dude has balls, he was swimming with like a million jelyfish and was just like "Oi! Another little bugger stung me" over and over again.

Mail Call is an American show on the History Channel, where former Marine R. Lee Ermy (of Full Metal Jacket fame) answers Email questions on anything regarding military hardware of any era.
