red oct 2 Posted September 16, 2002 i think the old genesis trillogy "Streets of Rage" deserves a remake. it got a crappy 3d clone on the playstation and N64 called "fighting force" and it sorta sucked. it would be pretty funny if they made a 3d remake for game cube of the old 8 bit Nitendo game Duck Hunt. [EDIT] God damn google is good for finding shit: http://www.i-mockery.com/minimocks/duckhunt/default.asp I too had the gun for NES, and the best game to play was Operation Wolf, man I had so much trigger action, my finger wouldn't work anymore.  I wish the made the gun so if you hold the trigger, it would be automatic fire. -=Die Alive=-
red oct 2 Posted September 16, 2002 Duck Hunt was THE game than, everyone who owned a NES usally had Duck Hunt and the little ray gun that came w/ it. matter of fact if i remember Duck Hunt and Super Mario Brothers came w/ every NES as a package. they don't do that anymore because i guess games are now much more expensive to make now, back than i cost a game like the origonal super mario brothers like maybe $56.000 bucks including saleries for the devs work, sound FX, production, boxes, advertisment, instructions, and trademark. now it can quite possibly cost up to $1,00,000,000.00 (as much as a movie) to make and thats probaly Not including production, boxes, advertisment, instructions, and trademark. hrmph! cheap bastards, grumble grumble grumble not giving me a game w/ my PS2 grumble grumble grumble wonder how much it cost to make OF? But I did get a game called Gyromite that used the ROBOT. I think there were only 2 games that used the ROBOT, Gyromite and Stack-Up. God I loved that robot, it was my best friend. When was the last time anyone went to a arcade? I mean, i just passed by one the other day and theres this game with a pump action shotgun. Back in the 90s, the only games with guns had these crappy pistols or UZI/Mak 10 clones on them. I heard my brother telling me there was this one game with a sniper rifle. Man, I just want an arcade with a 25 cent tetris game and a vending machine with Mountain Dew and I could stay there for hours. -=Die Alive=-
KingBeast 0 Posted September 16, 2002 2 crude dudes was great, the one thing i remember was beating up a vending machine to get cans of coke to drink. Strange thing to remember i guess, but it was real cool at the time

DarkLight 0 Posted September 16, 2002 It's hard to believe that i once found the megadrive graphics "impressive". I also liked playing one of the turtle ninja games back then, i can't really remember what game it was but it sure ruled!
Warin 0 Posted September 16, 2002 I get my Retro Arcade fix every few weeks when I boot up MAME. Â As it's not strictly speaking legal to download ROMs, I wont post any links or go into details. Â But it is a load of fun to play Robotron 2084 or 1943. As for remakes, I cant wait to see the new Metroid game for GC. Â If its as engaging as the first game was, I'll buuy one of the damn things! Die Alive 0 Posted September 16, 2002 There's this used CD store by my house that sells used NES games, for like $2 each. And they have like 300 of them for sale. One day if I ever get a load of money from somewhere (come on mega jackpot), that's one of the first thing I'm gonna buy, all those games. -=Die Alive=-
red oct 2 Posted September 16, 2002 problem w/ the old 8 bit NES is that if left uncleaned for too long, it can fail to work right.

red oct 2 Posted September 16, 2002 midway has also made a remake of Gaunlet. though i still really much see the remake of SoR, that and maybe Gunstar Heros, though it would probaly be more fun as a side scroller w/ better graphics and better levels. Longinius 1 Posted September 16, 2002 The Defender one is better than the Gauntlet remake, but Gauntlet is fun to. Especially in multiplay.
