Having an extreme amount of trouble getting our ops server up

Recommended Posts

These mods all work for 20 + people in single player, however for the life of me this server just will not work. When ever I join the server, I get stuck at a blank screen.

Here is my command line: @cba_a3;@cse;@mcc_sandbox_a3;@cpm;@alive;@asdg_jr;@c17a3;@fhq_accessories;@fsf_sacventral;@lsd_nvg;@rav_lifter_a3;@usaf;@task_force_radio;@dar_hmmwv;@kyo_mh47e_a3;@nato_russian_sf_weapons;@RH_M4_a3;@mas_usa_devg;@FHQ_Mapdraw;@rh_pistol_a3;@lhm_para;@a3mp;@fallujah;@nziwssogo

Check the mission.sqm for bad dependencies, also, I recommend only loading the map addons required for the one the mission is made on - you are loading @fallujah and @nziwasogo, and unless you are using the buildings from one of those on the other map, just load whatever map that the mission was made on.

Mission is made on stratis, however operational missions are on fallujah. I removed all the map mods and it still did not work.

@ a3mp

@ kyo

@asdg_jr; @c17a3;

notice the spaces in the above listed selections from your -mod line

Basic troubleshooting when you have an issue

  1. clear out the mp missions folder and any subfolders so it is empty (Do not archive your MpMissions in an MpMissions subfolder)
  2. comment out the mission cycle class in the server config (Having a syntax error here will cause the server to not load fully)
  3. load pure vanilla via desktop shortcut and select one of the Bi Missions that should be listed in the Mission selection screen
You have to prove the vanilla install before you even start looking at other possible causes, this includes your launcher, missions and mods
    if success
  4. Start adding 1 * mod pack at a time, taking note of which mod pack has dependencies on another mod pack (Start with cba) then start the server and load your vanilla test mission
    Continue doing this until either

    1. You discover which mod pack is causing the crash
    2. All mod packs have succesfully loaded

if success

[*] Then start reintroducing the archived set of Mpmissions, a few at a time until the server breaks (Restarting the server after every batch !! IMPORTANT !!)

I think I read somewhere that if you have spaces in -mod you should use " ". So IIRC "-mod=@home; @ kitchen;"

I dunno if this is an issue for you but when I update my mission, I rename it by going to 'intel'. Say change from Townattack22 to Townattack23. But I still save it as whatever I saved it before (under Export to SP/MP mission. So I don't have to move all scripts etc to another folder everytime I make a small change.). Sometimes it works, sometimes not.

The server exe starts spamming if it can't load the mission.

"Can't load mission Townattack22". 10 times per sec or so it seems.
