here a link with manuals for most common routers

@ericd

I did read a manual for your router model

it's simply not true that you can't assign port ranges on that model

of course if you don't understand what ports and forwarding/masquerading are then it get's complicated

but I have to say a very crappy router

I give you the advise go and buy one

there are very good cheap models around

ok thx,but its a closed model for orange exclusivly.

i will see if i can buy another model.

i can assure you that u can't as explain here in french (if u can read ) !! meanwhile maybe i can put in "port interne 2302" and after in "port externe 2305",what do u think? hi hi ... Sir

very stupid and confusing naming port interne/externe

maybe this guide could help you:

http://community.eu.playstation.com/t5/PSN-General/Unofficial-Orange-Livebox-Guide/td-p/1632471

in this guide is explained how to open ports for playstation on a orange live box

I in your position would call the ISP and tell them

please take this crap router back and change it for a serious one :D

edit:

okay I understand now how it works on that router :rolleyes:

SERVICE

(click here) Service
(Scroll Option Box)
(click here) Manual Service
(Type Manual Service Here i.e Arma3)
 Protocol (Select UDP from Drop Down Menu)
 External Port (Type in port number(s) 2302-2305)
 Internal Port (Type in same port number(s) 2302-2305)
 Server IP Address(Type In Server/Hosts Ip Adress i.e 192.168.1.162)

never seen in my live a horrible and complicated router like this model

One thing you COULD try that worked for me, is to turn off IP flood detection on your router. It seems that this was blocking me seeing all the mp sessions.

Just an option for those who are having a hard time seeing each other's server, or rather not at all, I had the same issue with my friend.

I have found another way which works np through someone we know who uses this option for all his games including Arma3, as we all know Arma3 is not the only game

that is effected by gamespy shutting down.

My friend and I use Tunngle--> http://www.tunngle.net/index.php?l=en

You use lan to see each other's server.

How this works is you start tunngle up, login, choose the room you want either Arma3(usa) or another, and then once you and your friend are both in your room, minimize Tunngle,

and then startup your game and setup a lan game and you will see your friends server, or vice versa.

We been playing like this, and had no issues with anything, was good to play with my old friend after not playing with him for a couple of months.
