cruoriss 12 Posted July 17, 2014 It's clearly bohemia's fault , not his . But try doing this : https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=4487-YUOC-6922 The registry cafe rate thing , if it don't work try this : First get your router manual and read what is it says about port forwarding. This involves a port number and the IP of the computer you want to local host. That information is determined once you access the router you may want to disable your DHCP but so far I just set my TTLs to max. The port numbers I forwarded were 2302, 2310-2311, 8766 and 27016. I then set rules for ICMPv4 as shown in this link: http://www.sysprobs.com/enable-ping-reply-windows-7 so far we have been able to connect I'm not sure that all the ports forwarded were necessary but I do know that just the 8766 and 27016 did not fix our problem we've yet to run a mission but we did connect and set in the server with the mission running for a 5 minutes. We will try to run the mission tonight. Plus if your behind the router trying to connect to a local hosted server use the LAN or you will not be able to. ericd 10 Posted July 18, 2014 (edited) Somehow I think this is your fault, not theirs. No offense. when i buy this game it was easy to join my friends and it was easy for my friends to join me ,that s why i bought this game ,since this patch that has broken everything , as far as i know i bought this game with the option "facility to join in multiplayer" now i can t play anymore !!! and my friends too !!, i m not an expert in resolving these problems i try but i apparently fail cause it doesn t work,so i don t see why it is my fault ?? i have a suggestion for bohemia i know they have hard work to do ,but please do something or a way that i can join my friends and vice versa EASYLY !!!just to push one button without to have to go forwarding any ports ,as i already said ,i try everything ,even without firewall ,AND IT DOES NOT WORK !!. steamtex this is not an answer ,please if it is my fault ,u certainly have found a solution ,so instead of telling me it s my fault  can you help me ?? wiyh teamviewer by example ?? thx to all thx to vince , i already try what u mentionned . TSAndrey 1 Posted July 18, 2014 Yep, I can't play coop either anymore. WTF BI?! Obviously Steam is incompetent at doing shit, so why not use another netcode provider or make them fix their port issues! I opened my ports and still can't play with my friends, everything was perfect when Gamespy was on!

TSAndrey 1 Posted July 18, 2014 Unfortunately, Gamespy has closed down. So the only alternative was to move over to Steam. I know it closed down, Gamespy was good, but now we're stuck with broken Steam. Is there no alternative? Steam is a much bigger company than Gamespy and they can't get their shit fixed, what the hell?! But as long as we have Steam cards...

maquez 141 Posted July 20, 2014 (edited) here a link with manuals for most common routers http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/routerindex.htm# @ericd I did read a manual for your router model it's simply not true that you can't assign port ranges on that model of course if you don't understand what ports and forwarding/masquerading are then it get's complicated but I have to say a very crappy router I give you the advise go and buy one there are very good cheap models around Edited July 20, 2014 by maquez
