Well i was browsing a Pc Gamer dvd of which a friend had let me borrow when i came across a trailer for CS:CZ well i think it looks really good and i may think about buying it, now i aint played cs in ages so im prolly just gonna buy it for the missions and the new A.I but it looks promising, what do u lot think, plz non of that CS sucks it aint the game, its the players that make it suck.

Plz take a look at the trailer it weighs in at 30.7 mb so not that much really for the quailty and legnth.

dl-ing right now, but i'll make my judgement when i get my hands on demo from commercial version.

heard some branch in US military is also using this.

If u asked me a week ago if i was gonna buy it i would have told u where to stick it but looking at the Vid it looks as thought they Put LOADS of thought into the Single player mission, u wont be disapointed with it.

not having a go but this a prime example of how the people who play the game give it a bad/good name.

saw the trailer twice and here's my initial thought.

1. collission: even in trailer, the scene where hostage takers push a hostage, you can see the gun sticking out of hostage's chest when it shouldn't be.

2. operation area size: seems like it's limited. typical game..however lots of building will make up for it i guess.

3. dragging injured: hope they really implement this. looks nice

4. building destruction: if this is for certain part of building, i say yuk. however, should the code enable this for any part of building that gets hit, then my kudos to developers. ofcourse, when i mean by hit, i want to blow a whole in a place where my RPG round goes, not one of pre-defined place.

5. no running around, no hopping.

and for god sakes, could we get off of that BHD scene?

Now..before you slag me for ripping on OFP... here's my point:

It's gameplay that matters. Sure I'd like everything to work perfectly, but there are trade offs I am willing to make. And one of those is being able to forgive an otherwise sterling engine for having some graphical flaws here and there. smile.gif I might give the new CS game a try...but not if they wont release a dem first! biggrin.gif

I used the Gameplex mirror and while there noticed there's a new splinter cell movie out, must say it's a game I'm looking forward to muchly smile.gif

what do u think of the CS tho Placebo, Raloh btw why have a massiv sized area when u only need a small area? i mena look at opflash in MP 70% of the island is wasted, Dark i was not bagging u i was just pointing out how some few can ruin the rep of a game.

I personally think it looks lame. Obviously most of that shit is scripted, and it still looks like the same old lame CS gameplay, except for the video they were all walking slowly instead of pwning p33ps w/ th31r l337 skills

I'd class it as "average" no more, no less. IMO they really need to add something special to make me interested in it, as it stands Opf doesn't need to lose any sleep over it on my game shelf smile.gif

well, that's preference in AO i guess. I love the thrill of sneaking in and infiltrating enemy's area. like if they are resting in a city near a hill, i prefer going to the hill, recon, and then commence attack.

with large areas, you get to be more alert i guess. i don't like immediately going in to combat. gimme sometime to see and make my best move.

in closed spaces, you are better off just running around and shooting. so that's what i don't like.

Yes...but the 30% you use can be changed every game. It makes for more dynamic gameplay. When I played CS, it was always 'rush to the choke point'. It got to the point that I could rush each map in my sleep. biggrin.gif

With OFP, the game is more fluid. Cant break through one way? Go another way and slip in behind them. Fare more possiblities, and a lot less camp the same spot on the map every time.

Just saw the movie. It looks pretty good. But I don't like the part with the guy holding a para that jumps out a window, falls 10 feet and doesn't even flitch...

It is at the moment i just re-installed it, btw u cant compare opflash to CS, CS is urban CQB while opflash is Rural with fighting in undense towns.

It will be the same crowd. It doesn't matter if the game is good or not. And it doesn't look to be, the LAW explosions are from old school half life, everyone will be running, jumping and shooting from the hip, just like in CS.

The whole movie is scripted, you think anyone even will use the walk key, or any form of teamwork? Think again...*jumps out window and frags 3 people on the way down*

im pretty sure its juist someone playing lan (someone speccying while recording a demo) and the bots are just playing in Single player while the Helo's are prolly an intro into a mission.

Exactly, which means that all the cool stuff you are seeing- you cant do it. Its just scripted. All you can do is the same shit from CS.

Hmm what did u expect to be able to fly the helo's? I mean comparing it against Res, res did not add that much, just an island a few more units and better textures.
