12 o'clock - enemy truck - 500 meters, etc

Recommended Posts

I sometimes see other players call targets like this in group chat. Nobody managed to explain to me how they do it. I tried binding 'Reveal Target' and 'Next Target' and a few others binds but none of them work. Right click isn't bound to anything related and does nothing (other than scope/zoom adjustment).

Halp?

This feature is more of an Autonomous thing, as far as i know. Your players character may spot an enemy depending on what direction they are looking in at the time, and the character they are playing spots it. It happens in multiplayer allot, only in groups. If you play singleplayer, it happens as well, but more apparent when your AI comrades yell out. That is why it's good to check your surroundings, because its things like these that may save your life. Now, i'm not sure if its a controllable feature, but that is all i know of it.

You can disable AI calls like that if you want, try enableRadio false;, or enableSentences false;, will also delete your AI outloud demands like "2, move 100meters North", etc. Also won't be delayed and your AI squad will react instantly

It never happens when I play, actually. That's why I'm asking, I think it's very useful and I'd like to know how to use it. I'll look for those settings and set them to True instead.

Yea I like them, other times they get annoying. It's automated and you can't really control them. They are active by default

"Hey! HEY!! There's an enemy tank two clicks behind that mountain over there!"

Auto callouts suck.

I don't mind the bad ones but it often does good ones where it tells you the distance so you don't have to rangefind.

But as I said, it NEVER worked for me, I only see other people spamming group chat with it. I'm not sure, where do I put the commands? In ArmA.cfg in the users folder?
