TravisJ 0 Posted July 31, 2002 Was was playing some with the editor and by accident I flew into a bridge, I was killed and bridge collapsed. I tried later to shoot it with a tank, satchel charges and stuff. Cannot destroy it but only to collide with it. Does it really need a dramatic force to collapse it? So, how do I do it otherwise? FSPilot 0 Posted July 31, 2002 3 satchel charges at one of it's supports should do it. Basically, just shoot at it's supports until they go down. I took all of them out with one or two reloads in an AH-1 before, so it is possible.
Harnu 0 Posted July 31, 2002 or 4 sathcel charges ON the bridge in 1 section works. You can use several AT/rpgs to do it. Rockets work. My favorite is dirving an ammo truck on, then retreat and blow it up. It does nice damage to that bridge
ralphwiggum 6 Posted July 31, 2002 i took it out in the middle(not supporting colum) with one V-80. shot sooooo many rockets(all of them) and some cannons.
ralphwiggum 6 Posted July 31, 2002 i once tried it with Sabot..took about 15 to 25 rounds(forgot exactly how many is needed )
Aculaud 0 Posted July 31, 2002 interesting...Iv never been able to do it with less than 5 charges. Of course, my philosophy on the subject is "Why do it by hand, when you can laze it for a nice air strike and be done with it?"
Jester983 0 Posted July 31, 2002 Easiest way to do it IMO is take a MI-17 and just unload on the bridge. Good for stress managment too.
FSPilot 0 Posted August 1, 2002 In the campaign mission, though, just go down to the support thats not in the water on your side of the river, put 3 charges on it, run and blow it up, it's easy. After, of course, killing all the bad guys in the area, and some on the other side of the bridge.
