[WIP] Von Quest Industries - H.A.L.O. System

Recommended Posts

@Raz0rLëgend

Thanks. Copy & Paste syndrome. Everything is still working really good right now.

Updating the config is very low on my list. Minor details. The model is just what it

looks like when you throw it on the ground. No biggie. Right now I have bigger

projects I'm neck-deep in. Will be updating that stuff later. (maybe next update?)

The Uniform is like that by choice. It just an old uniform that's already in the game

and looked kinda beat-up. Seem to work just fine for now. At some point I'm going

to re-tex it in a better black or dark charcoal color scheme. We'll see...

I don't really understand...

What I can not understand: exactly what is the texture of the uniform does not seem to correspond with the 3D model, when I saw the thumbnail, I realized that the texture was based UV on the uniform of the helicopter pilot, am I wrong? There I especially feel that update the game broke one of these references as combat uniforms, poorly textured returned several mods.

The thumbnail picture (inventory), the actual uniform you wear, and the folded-up pile on the ground when you

take it off; are all separate things and do not relate nor effect each other. Three completely separate things.

Is there a specific problem you are having? Just tested the other day, and all was working as intended. If all is

working great, just ignore the config/system/code/scripts files. Am I missing something? un-packing the .pbo

and digging around inside is just going to confuse most people. Is there a specific error or problem I'm missing?

The pic you posted IS exactly as it is supposed to look like. Just a boring, dark, beat-up, jumpsuit for the HALO.

:biggrin: Yes.

And No, that's not from the code. That's Graphic Design! That's actually from BIS. Not me......

The Uniform is hidden in the game. I did not design that. Like I said, I'm going to re-texture it

with my own stuff at some point. This is all WIP. Its just a dirty, kooky, beat-up, odd jumpsuit.

line 183:

hiddenSelectionsTextures[] = {"\A3\characters_f\common\data\coveralls_black_co.paa"};

As you can see, the .paa file is actually the graphic file. ArmA uses .paa format. The file path is

INSIDE the game itself. Not my Mod Folder. My graphics will be coming soon. For now it's fine...

Just jump naked! The only way to fly. :nervous:

Hi, I was attempting to use the VQI HALO mod with a few friends, but for some reason they are unable to see the Jump/Load Masters and thus they are unable to participate in the jump.

Any tips?

Negative. I only play MP over LAN, and it works every time.

Does everyone also have it DL'd and Enabled on thier PCs?

Each machine needs to be setup the same and when you

make a map/mission, you need to save-as 'multiplayer'.

Not sure what else. Not setup for dedicated nor Zeus also.

Could be just a fluke or bug. (most probable) Try DL again.

hello Goblin,

a squadmate of mine noticed the following lines in his RPT:

fnc_MPaddAction2 = {
_this addAction [("<t color='#006699'>" + ("CL>
 Error position: <addAction [("<t color='#006699'>" + ("CL>
 Error addaction: Type Tableau, Objet attendu
File vqi_halo\VQI-DemonDropper\vqi_demondropper.sqf, line 25
Error in expression <s) < 4"];};

By the way, my RPT is located in the folder "C:\Users\CMFDR\AppData\Local\Arma 3" (CMFDR being my username), you might probably find your around there too.

Hope it helps.

For some reason, for the life of me, I absolutely can not find that damn RPT file!

This is as close as I can get: C:\Users\RDFD8~1~VON\AppData\Local\Temp

I've looked and looked and can not find it anywhere.

As far as the errors go... I'm sure there are "technically" a few. The Mod still

works just fine. I'm guessing the error is because its looking for the objects

that don't exist yet until you place and name them? Not sure. Thanks though.

Are you sure you're not using the -nologs parameter?

Exploding parachutes? Sounds like a serious safety risk! I haven't seen that since last summer. Bug/glitch? Everything should be working fine. Kooky.

Damn. Thanks for testing! Do you know what I have to do to get it server friendly?
