Multiple @mod shortcuts for Steam install = No Chernarus?

I've always used a CD version of the game so the Steam install is a different method. As of right now I must start the game twice to change mod versions through the expansions menu and this gets old real fast.

I have managed to make a shortcut to the Operation Arrowhead .exe =

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead\ArmA2OA.exe" -mod=@CBA;@CBA_A2;@CBA_O;@lingor -nosplash

This will give me an error that Lingor needs addon Chernarus? No Chernarus? Sure enough I can't access Chernarus in the Editor.

A Dayz shortcut =

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead\Expansion\beta\arma2oa.exe" -beta=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion -nosplash

Works only if I pre-set the expansions, but somehow this version loads Chernarus.

Anyone know how to make shortcuts that can launch different mods from the Steam folders?

Why not use Playwith six? You can make different mod sets there, name them, and then choose with what modset you want to start your game.

Steam's folders are no different then disc, or digital version of the game and im speaking in terms of the directory itself, the exe still only loads those

folders that are setup in the target line whether through steam shortcut, or a launcher or another program.

What i suggest is a simple launcher program that dont require all sorts of files and things to be running, or other requirements,

all you need to to is locate the main directory, create your preferences with mods in presets, and then launch the game.

For Arma3 steam I use this launcher, it works for Arma2CO as well just locate the Arma2 directory and mods you have in there

should show listed on the left side of launcher

i dont need to mess with any target lines every time I play, if i want something in particular I just set

the modset in the launcher I created and then launch.

I can't figure out why this will not load Chernarus.

Also using the http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=19582 launcher will not load Chernarus if I use Steam, it will load some mystery mod named "ca" that can be seen in the expansions. It will load all mods normally if I use a CD version.

CA is like a core folder of the game in the addons folder.

Maybe check your target line to make sure everything is spelled correctly or is setup the same way the folders are in the directory.

Just pointing it out but in your directory does the folder say Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead, or does it say Arma2 Operation Arrowhead?

you have a space after Arma then 2, should be no space.

Also the last cba you have @CBA_O should it not be @CBA_OA.

I'd try vanilla without the mods and make sure all the maps load up to be sure its not the game itself.

Yes there is a space between the A and the 2, and yes it is CBA_OA, this was a typo on the forum. I have tried 3 different launchers and non of them bring up Chernarus unless I manually alter the mods in the Expansions menu.

If I launch the game normally it runs fine. Right now I have to adjust mods in the expansions menu and restart the game for every change.

Oh? Interesting. I allways thought that PwS just starts the game and than switches itself off. So i dont understand how it could crash the game. Did you report it to PwS developers? i thing they should look in to that.

I have yet to get a shortcut to work.

I have been attempting to join DayZ servers but I get the "server rejected connection" screen because I cant figure out how to launch with Beta if I have a STEAM install.

On my pc without Steam the shortcuts work fine.

Do you have Arma 2 as well as Arma 2 OA? It almost sounds like A2 is not loading (Chernarus is part of A2).
