What do you think?

Recommended Posts

I think I developed some kind of poll-love these days. Just guess how many posts this forum gets per day! (Maybe someone knows)

And finally, how many posts alltogether since first day?

Lol! I wasn't expecting it to! I mean as we don't know what will the vote show? An opinion on an unknown quantity.

what? Only around 10 posts per thread. Have there been so many spam&closed threads?

Since when is the forum open?

I know that I should probably close this thread, but instead I am going to give you last months forum statistics (this month not yet available) from our moderators forum:

07forums_overview.jpg

Actions = number of moderating actions taken (Close, delete..etc)

Size = number of posts in the forum

Days active = number of days the forum has existed (i.e age of the oldest post in the forum).

Posts/month average= average number of posts in forum/month

Moderation/post and Post/moderation give us how much on average we must moderate (take action) relative the member's posting in the forums.

If we look at the absolute count of actions taken, it is not surprising that Resistance & OT come up high:

07forums_actions.jpg

We have to take into consideration however that the forums were created at different times and that the amount of posting is very different. Therefor we look at the relative values: moderations/post:

Yes, but since you brought it up, I thought there was no harm in letting you see some of the statistics smile.gif

The data base of all the members! They track our IPs, and they know where we live!

Not suprising to see OT with the most threads smile.gif But I thought OT would have the most closes, but I suppose most of the ones in the Resistance are threads that have allready been made before, or have no point requiring a swift closer before they even get off the ground.

So the right answer would be >500 , from mod stats about 790 per day, from my other calculation 680 per day or so.

Denoir closed, or non, cause the figures would be considerably different!

hmm..more than 500 posts per day?

and i contribute about 30 posts at most..usually 25...that menas inoly contribute 5% or less...damn....gotta start contributing more tounge.gif

and Albert, median and average

i assume that you know the definition of average and median, and just refresh the difference of the two.

median is value where you line up all datas in ascending order(or descending) and choose the middle value. thus this value will be the middle point of the datas

average, you add them up, and divide by total number. that means it is more prone to skewing by one large outliers.
