When AI find dead man of other group they don't change their action mode

I think thouse issue make a stealth and assassination totally a big mess...:mad:

When AI find dead man of other group they don't change their action mode

The patrol's mode is safe and waypoint is move, and they didn't saw the killing. When they turn back the patrol's leader see the dead man and assign me a virtual target (it means the real target is far away from that position), but the patrol's mode still don't change. If the leader find the dead man, he should change to aware or danger mode.

Another issue:

weapon with suppressor is too loud and construct can't block sound

In the building set a man with a P07 9MM suppressed pistol and an opfor man in front of him and back to him. Outside the building I set a group about 70 meters away from it, and I am one of the group. Then start the demo. My team leader hears the gun fire and assign me a virtual target. In this demo I think the weapon with suppressor is totally failed and the most important issue is -- the building cant block the sound! This is too bad.

The 3rd issue: AI has X-RAY vision that can see the assassination behind a wall but they can't get aware when bullets hit the wall

In this demo, I set a man in front the wall with 0 health and 0 firstaidkit to ensure I can one shot one kill. And I set a group behind the wall faceing to him. I am on the top of the hill. After I killed the target it makes the group aware. However, if I deliberately shoot the wall for a round of mag, nothing changed. This x-ray vision make stealth impossible.

In the second demo, just walk with your leader to see if he assign a virtual target to you. Why he can find the dead body? It is ridiculous.

I see you are using the release (1.0.109.911) and reporting issues on that one when lots of things already changed in the dev builds make no sense. You should really switch to the dev build an re-run above tests again...

Before bed last night I did some quick AI test with latest dev build (1.03.110218) regarding this since like you I noticed wierd behavior when AI detected dead bodies since Alpha...

The "detected by X" trigger do trigger when AI spot a dead body so something in the code is reacting to them. The wierd thing in my small test was that if I hid inside a house after killing one enemy the detecting AI patrol (single guy) did not switch from safe to danger mode.

However if I instead hid in a bush nearby after killing one enemy he acted like expected when spotting the body and switched to danger mode and then started to search around for enemies!?

Can't explain that one and will do some more testing when I get back home later to see if happens consistenly or not and try to make a repro mission. Will post my findings in the "Development Branch AI Discussion" thread.

The AI definitely needs some work. On the challenge where you are sniping, I can kill one group in the base, one soldier at a time, and they do weird stuff as their buddies die, like going into a crouch and looking at barrels near them, or proning and then spinning around, looking at the exact opposite direction of where the bullets are coming from. Only once on the mission did a soldier actually figure it out and fire at me. Hopefully, we get some better community AI scripts.

A suppressed 9mm is pretty loud. 125-130dB(A) is not what you'd call hearing safe (the definition makes you believe you can listen to suppressed shots without damage, which is wrong). You'd hear the shot in and around a building that is not soundproof. And there are no such buildings or bunkers in ArmA 3.

I don't know where you get the info but I, I don't believe it. DO you know how can describe 130db? If a working jet engine has a noise of 120db, then a pistol with suppressor has a noise as 10 times as jet engine?

Maybe, if you bear in mind the very sharp single "spike" of noise over a very short time?

There is no maybe. I think there must be someone having suppressed pistol in the forum. An experienced man is convinced. Or you can show some videos in youtube.
