National mod's

How many mod teams are working on national Mods?? By national mods i mean where the mod team are making present day units and vehicles from one country. Like the BW-Mod.

I only know of these

German Army by BW-MOD team

Danish Army by HMAK-MOD team

Polish Army by Ludowe Wojsko Polskie team

Slovenian Army by Natosoldier Mod team

Israeli Army by The Lost Brothers Mod team

but would like to see work/websites from all.

May 1st: First aerial strike: Reports from the central command of the Armed Forces of the actions taking place in the Atlantic South get public knowledge. The Royal Air Force attacks, in four occasions, "Puerto Argentino". British helicopters attack "Puerto Darwin". From the British frigates, "Puerto Argentino" gets under fire. One English frigate gets damaged and five Harrier aircrafts are destroyed. Argentina´s class of 1961 is called for service. President Galtieri, in a speech given to the Nation, remarks that Argentina "will respond to the attacks".

er...5 harriers were shot down on May 1st? thats a long way from being true....

Tuesday 4th May

[b4] - Sea Harrier of No.800 NAS, HMS Hermes shot down over Goose Green by radar-controlled, 35mm Oerlikon fire (1.10 pm). Lt Taylor RN killed.

Thursday 6th May

[b5, b6] - Two Sea Harriers of No.801 NAS, HMS Invincible lost in bad weather, presumably by collision, south east of Falklands (9.00 am). Lt Curtiss and Lt Cmdr Eyton-Jones RN lost

Friday 21st May

[b13] - Harrier GR.3 of 1(F) Sqdn RAF shot down over Port Howard, West Falkland probably by Blowpipe SAM (9.35 am). Flt Lt Glover ejects and injured, is taken prisoner-of-war.

Sunday 23rd May

[b15] - Sea Harrier of No.800 NAS, HMS Hermes crashes into sea north east of Falklands shortly after take-off and explodes (7.55 pm). Lt Cmdr Batt RN killed.

Thursday 27th May

[b27] - Harrier GR.3 of 1(F) Sqdn RAF shot down over Goose Green probably by 35mm Oerlikon fire (1.35 pm). Sqdn Ldr Iveson ejects to the west, hides up and is later rescued.

Saturday 29th May

[b29] - Sea Harrier of No.801 NAS, HMS Invincible ready for take-off, slides off the deck as the carrier turns into wind to the east of Falklands (3.50 pm). Lt Cmdr Broadwater RN ejects and is safely picked up.

Sunday 30th May

[b30] - Harrier GR.3 of 1(F) Sqdn RAF damaged near Stanley by small arms fire from Argentine troops. Runs out of fuel short of "Hermes" and Sqdn Ldr Pook RAF ejects to be picked up to east of the Falklands (12.20 pm).

Tuesday 1st June

[b31] - Sea Harrier of No.801 NAS, HMS Invincible shot down south of Stanley by Roland SAM (2.40 pm). Flt Lt Mortimer RAF ejects and is later rescued from the sea.

Tuesday 8th June

[b33] - Harrier GR.3 of 1(F) Sqdn RAF lands heavily at Port San Carlos with partial engine failure, and is damaged beyond repair (12.00 pm). Wing Cmdr Squire escapes unhurt.

(only 5 were shot down during the whole war, im guessing this statistic includes the harrier that got shot at by small arms fire and ran out of fuel)

An interesting question is, is any of those mods any good? Well,

BW-Mod - Excellent

Danish can't get to the url

Polish - Really cool

Slovenian - cool Kalashnikov

Israeli - Those models that have something to do with Israel are greatly done, great textures

Austrian - kick ass ideas and some models

Swedish - Nothing good in there, uniform sucks.

What hapened to the Spanish mod?

hmm strange the link to the danish mod works, most have been a temp. error. But anyways it its in the planning phase nothing to show yet.

For the swedish part i havent seen anything yet but the real life uniform looks kinda funny but should work really well in the swedish climate

I cant believe there isnt a Brittish army mod. In fact the Brittish community is remarkably quiet in OFP they have comparivly few online servers as well. The Falklands mod looks cool but too biased to the Argies, after all the islands are ours.

none of our harriers were shot down by argentinian planes, 5 went down by ground fire though
