Nvgoggles

Recommended Posts

In a night mission I'm preparing right now, I'd like to show the insertion of the team. Unfortunately, as it's dark and the guys wear black, you can't really see anything. So I'd like to use the NVGoggles as a resource for the camera - is this possible? If so, how can it be done? If not, do you know of any other way, how I can make the players see the intro in night vision?

You could simply move the camera a bit closer when you want to view the guys. As for using NVGoggles, I'll see if I can do it in a little bit. Right now I'm not on my comp that has OFP on it.

That would be nice... just moving the camera nearer is what I tried, but the result isn't really satisfying... black blackops in a black boat in a black night... ahem, you get my meaning... wink.gif

Well, NV goggles really suck too but I'll try to get it working soon.

When you make a cutscene in the editor, one unit on the map is "you", I mean,

the "player".

If you give that unit NVGoggles and he uses them, then the screen

will turn green, with no "noise" as you said.

And, if you want to return to normal view, you have to remove the NVGoggles

from the player.

Problem is that is the cutscene for a mp mission. All player units have nvgoggles, though. So that would be 'player selectweapon "nvgoggles"'?

Oh, I didn't figure that!

Usually AI uses NVGoggles if it's dark.

But, I know practically nothing about MP missions.. smile.gif

maybe you can add NVgoggles to everyone using script and take it away later.

if everyone has NVgoggles, no prob, but if some has it, then you should make some way to mark them and then give NVgoggles to the rest, and take it away from those who don't have it b4.

also check that if there is a slot available for it too...

ackk...hate scripting biggrin.gif
