Gollum1 0 Posted August 10, 2002 Right, I just had a lightbulb moment...or something. So...has anyone played Jagged Alliance 2, one of the best games ever made (along with OFP)? I just played it today, and I started thinking about the map. The grid system reminded me of OFP...Heureka! Arulco could be converted to OFP, it´s all there...destroyed buildings (Omerta) normal village buildings (Drassen, most of the towns) Hangars, (Drassen airport, Meduna airport, warehouses in Grumm) a desert, and maybe the Chitzena buildings could be Jungle Everon huts. Ruins in Chitzena could be the ones on Nogova...Ok, so some large new buildings would be needed like the Meduna palace, Alma prison and the base in Alma etc. Swamps can be done by adding some really shallow water and thick vegetation. But the amount of sectors in between the towns should be quadrupled (at least). Of course, I´m not saying that the JA2 campaign should be converted, just the map. Everything is falling into place...of course, I´m too stupid to use WRPedit So get working, my pretties! And for all JA fans...JA2 Gold edition is coming soon! I don't see how the Arulco island helps us with OFP, unless you figure out how to use WRP edit and create it Gold is coming out? What's that going to include? I wan't to play JA2 again bigtime. munger 25 Posted August 10, 2002 Yep, the Jagged Alliance games will always have a special place in my heart. Specially Ivan, who was an absolute steal in the first games (JA and Deadly games). I imagine JA2 Gold will just be JA with the expansion pack bundled? Or maybe it includes multiplayer? Drool... Anyway, back on topic, I think Arulco would be good island except that it has no apparent hills or elevation of any kind which would make it a bit drab/unrealistic. The only extra I´m sure about is all the changes from UB will be incorporated into the original (cover showing and stuff) and I also heard something about a new interface and tweaked AI. Hmmm... I don´t have any of the games, I have always borrowed them from a friend when I had to reinstall or something But now I´ll kill two Deidrannas with one LAW Good point about the hills, tough.
