What happened to mouse steering cursor?

Recommended Posts

Mouse steering is the worst thing ever. It's like trying to drive a car by leaning side to side instead of turning a wheel. Bump your mouse accidentally while trying to drive and your vehicle gets stuck trying to turn some random direction. Worst mechanic ever. :)

Thank God I'm not the only one with that opinion.

Mouse steering is still there for me.

I find it really useful and a hellava lot smoother than just using the keys alone, or it can also be used at the same time in conjunction with or without using the W and S keys,

Please keep it in,or at least switchable via the userconfig.

Mick. :)

Operation Arrowhead has an improved Mouse Control for driving.... it had the chase cursor in the HUD which resulted in infinitely better handling of the vehicle over the traditional/current "deadzone" style.

I'm with the OP, Why is it absent from ArmA 3?

I like driving the atv's with mouse - It's harder than keyboard but it's more fun.

It's never was removed. I just wonder why there is no cursor in the HUD?

Yep. The cursor is the connection between what I try to achieve with a steering wheel-that-is-a-mouse, and what actually happens. Especially important if you use a TrackIR.
