Is VERY annoying .This is normal or this will be fixed?

My gfx settings is Ultra on everything without vsync.

They are not underground, that is because of the lay of the land, little troughs and mounds etc.

Ok, but any chance to fix this?

This is very annoying. Sometimes enemies are prone and you can't even see them, or only their heads show up. I really hope they can fix this.

It is actually to simulate them being in long grass, you will hardly ever (never say never) see them like this when they are laid on a road.

This is to force parity whether you have settings of no grass up to max grass and it was the way BIS deemed to use for targets rendered at distances beyond that which detailed grass is rendered.

Yes it's a simulation of enemies hiding in a grass. Since no PC will handle rendering grass that far this is a workaround. It's how it's supposed to be until the better way of doing this is found.

They will stay "above" ground when they are on concrete, asphalt or road surfaces f.e.

Sometimes it's the grass layer, but usually the low detail terrain mesh. Soldiers sink in the ground even on grassless terrain; roads, sand, etc.

Increasing terrain detail in the settings helps a bit.

The grass thing makes sense, although sometimes it's too exaggerated, as you can only see the tip of the helmet or only the back of the soldier.

I have to say, tho, that I have seen this happen in grass-less terrain, specifically over a road.

I play with everything in ultra graphic details and this still happens a lot to me.
