Arma 3 and Windows 8

I understand there is a post on this already but no one has answered it since 411 days ago. The post didn't answer my question at all. So the question is, will Arma 3 play on Windows 8? I'm thinking of buying an Asus G46 and it only comes in Windows 8.

It seems to run well for me on windows 8. It's pretty much the same as windows 7 only windows 8 is more confusing and is loosing Microsoft money.

I'm running Arma 3 on Windows 8 Pro with no discernible issues that I've identified as directly stemming from Windows 8, so "Arma 3 on Windows 8" is a safe bet.

Windows 8 seems ok for me, though it keeps trying to solve a problem as a source of a crash whenever I close the game, recently.

Arma 3 should run fine on Win8, I'm running a Windows 8 system and I have no problems with it. I'd even go as far as to say that it runs faster, although that may just be a result of having a fresh install of everything.

Also in reply to Kilroy: I think that issue with the crash happens on 7 too. I roughly remember something like that.

I think that consensus settles it: I have no idea how well the G46 will run Arma 3, but any issues are probably not due to Windows 8.

Thanks a lot! Arma 3 plays very well on my new g46! The only thing i didnt like was that it didnt have 1080 screen. But well it was only 799. Came with 750gb hdd, gtx 660m, and 8 gb ram. Didnt want to pay 1200 for a g55 or g75. Might as well just build a desktop but i needed something mobile.
