Albert Schweitzer 10 Posted July 25, 2002 I am sure I hit a nerve with this thread and it hasnt been there so far. So tell us, what are the strangest sorts of alcohols you know the WE SHOULD KNOW. Let me just tell the story about Tequilla, this sort of Tequilla where you see a worm iniside: as you know the real Tequilla is won only from one specific Cactus. And this cactus has ony one specific parasite, this worm. So the worm inside is nothing else than a proof that is authentic Tequilla. Gin-tonic: the story of this drink is simple. During the time when the Brits were establishing colonies (a bit later in fact) in Africa they all had to take medicine against Malaria. But this medicine tasted so terrible that they had to mix it with something else. Gin-tonic was the only drink they knew which would neturalise the taste. Now it is your turn! Â But if you just drink silly softdrinks, then go and play with your sister
ralphwiggum 6 Posted July 25, 2002 my first alcohol was Sake(Japanese rice alcohol). one sip, needed 3 glass of water to dilute it. I hated alcohol from that point. feels like my tongue dries up. then I had a red wine. I hated it. so i'm not an alcohol person.
KingBeast 0 Posted July 25, 2002 How about Absynth? Thats real nasty stuff. My friend downed 3 glasses of it after we had already been drinknig a while. He ended up starting a fight and then getting his ass kicked

Warin 0 Posted July 25, 2002 Absinthe is nasty stuff, and not exactly legal in it's true form. The nastiest thing I've ever had to drink is Everclear. 190 proof grain alcohol! BAD BAD BAD! Especially 4 - 2oz shots! For regular consuption, a nice pale ale is to my liking
Supah 0 Posted July 25, 2002 Men lets just stick to beer? "Helping ugly people have sex since 1815!" It's a drink for REAL men
KingBeast 0 Posted July 25, 2002 Beer is all very well but its a bit inconvenient. I mean when your out at night and drinking pitns and pints of beer, your going to be visiting the bathroom frequently. At least with spirits and such you arent drinknig so much liquid There are some new drinks that I tried a small while ago caleld shooters. They are like little test tubes filled with alcohol, al lwith obscene names. Foreplay, Orgasm, Blowjob, and such. They only cost Å1 each i think it was. cybrid 0 Posted July 25, 2002 Anyone ever seen the movie "the beast"? In that movie the guy makes some kind of drink by running brake fluid through a loaf of bread or somthing like that. Can you really do that?

And the younger ones should be adult enough not to admire what I will say but: I AM THE BEST DRUNK DRIVER IN THE WORLD. BUT please respect the following: from my favourite bar to my home I only have to cross a big field and the property of a horse-riding-school so that is NOT a public road. I would never drive being DRUNK!
hovmand 0 Posted July 25, 2002 Snaps, i think its distilled (sp?) on potatos, tastes like crap. Oh and "Gammel Dansk" (Old Danish) wich tastes allright and gives you a warm feeling in your tummy

Renagade 0 Posted July 25, 2002 The thing about spirits here is their weakerr than elsewhere.Take voddka for example it 37.5% when if u go over to the rest of europe its 40% not a lot but then again whys it lower also how much is in a half bottle in other countries as here its 350ml. One more thign, whats the point in having bottles for beer, they hold less cost more and u need a bottle opener to open the
KingBeast 0 Posted July 25, 2002 Completely depends on where and what you buy. There are plenty of beers in bottles in england that are the same if not more than whats in a can. And personally i think beer tastes better out of glass than it does out of metal.
Renagade 0 Posted July 25, 2002 and how does proof compare with % when measuring the amount of alchohol in a drink ?

cybrid 0 Posted July 25, 2002 Does anyone know about the brake fluid thing? I wasn't kidding ya know
KingBeast 0 Posted July 25, 2002 Desperate people in desperate times will drink about anything with alcoholic content. So it wouldnt really surprise me about the brake fluid and bread thing. I guess the bread would act as a filter with all of the pores and stuff so the bad shit would get stuck in the bread while the good stuff trickled out. Though thats just a haphazard very unscientific guess.

I wasn't kidding ya know<span id='postcolor'> Stupid people will do anything. There are many many cases of people drinking things that will kill them (thinners, anti freezes, etc) in the hopes of getting a cheap drunk..it's totally sad. If you only have a couple bucks, buy really cheap gallon jugs of wine. It might taste like crap and give you a brutal hangover...but at least you wont die from it! Then again.. Just think of it as evolution in action!
