Another123 Missions for ArmA3

Thanks. I'm kind of running out of ideas, mostly because lack of content. I would like to make some reality based missions, IDF is kind of only current mod allowing me to do nice real-life-based scenarios. I really look forward to see some current day US Army accurate troops characters and some nice middle east style map to create some different scenarios as well as to implement and learn more complicated scripting.

By "Kifir", did you mean the Hebrew word for the lion's cub? If do, it should be "Kfir".

Having issues with the Golani mission {only one ive downloaded so far}.

I am getting an error saying :Picture c\users\maciej\documents\arma3alpha\missions\Golani%20on%20the%strike%20new.stratis\pictures\idf.paa not found.

I had a clan mate follow the instructions listed on the Download pages for bothe olani and IDF add ons.. he is getting the same error.

Any ideas what im doing wrong m8

Another123, I just wanted to say that I've been skipping missions, for now, which require add-ons. It just seems hard enough already to get things working, with the game still in alpha. But this one looks good, because I need missions for a small number of players (there's normally just two of us). And as I run out of vanilla missions to try, I'll definitely come back. I've made a note of the link.

Hey guys

The overview picture is not working, that seems to be a more common problem since patch 0.58.

I am working on it and soon i will try to publish the missions that are repaired, although without any overview picture for the moment.

Updated missions.

"Golani on the strike"

Changelog:

  • Re-added task hint in beginning of the mission (disappeared after update).
  • Removed overview picture.
  • Added normal soldier classes (medic, explosive specialist, team leader etc.).
  • Revised equipment and loadout.
  • Added version with Design Mastery’s M4 rifles.

"Furious Kfir"

Changelog:

  • Re-added task hint in beginning of the mission (disappeared after update).
  • Removed overview picture
  • Added normal soldier classes (medic, explosive specialist, team leader etc.).
  • Corrected the spelling mistake it’s now spelled “Kfirâ€.
  • Revised equipment and load out.

"Operation Grenouille"

Changelog:

  • NV Goggles are now working correctly. Player has the item attached on the begining.
  • Removed overview picture, however you can now see in overview which weapons are included in the missions.
  • Changed weather overcast.

Hopefully the missions will work fine after this update. I will hold myself with furhter proejcts until beta and some high quality addons are released. I'd be thankfull for feedback on these missions as well. Have a nice playing ! :)

Any chances that you include the ability to revive to that mission? Played it with 3 buddys but one died far often.

Mission looks very good so far and revive would make it perfect. ;)

Thanks for good Words Owesome. Well, in ArmA2:CO i used to add revive modules, however it's Alpha and there are no revive modules there yet (as far as I know). Yes, yes I could use some revive script etc. But think I will currently focus only on getting these missions working good and wait till some good content is made.

Operation Barracuda

Description:

48 Hours ago 2 CIA operatives has been captured by Al-Quaeda on an Greek island called Stratis. An US Navy destroyer with SEALS from ST6 aboard has been sent into the action, tasked with rescuing CIA Operatives. These operatives were gaining intel about new Al-Quaeda cell in Europe and have been captured during their mission. Both have criticall information that present high value for national security.

Awesome mission so far!! Unfortunately, now that the beta has been patched 1-2 times, there are some object errors, but no biggee. We still played the mission and really enjoyed it. The detail and thought that you put into it was apparent and we really liked the mission. Our only concern was that the ending trigger does not appear to be working. We had all of the hostages and all of our teammates were alive, at the Exfil marker. The green chemlights were activated.....we waited for about 10-15 minutes (real-time) and no helo came to exfil us. Realizing that our government abandoned us, we all decided to hide in one of the buildings close to the HLZ and drink poisoned cool-aide.

Description:

Operation Iraqi Freedom, 2009. 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne) has been deployed in Iraq in order to conduct various missions.

Well, these missions were made in the Alpha version for the game and since there is an full release of ArmA3 now with different things changed these won't work. I didn't have any plans to remake these missions.

Same here, "Operation Barracuda" was made for the Beta version of the game and might not work now in full release ArmA. I'm sorry guys, but don't worry, once i fresh up my editing I will drop some missions you might enjoy. Thanks a lot for the feedback anyway!

Null problem, if you create new missions with IDF, PLA and other armies - with all your attention to detail and recreation of real ops - we will enjoy them a lot!

Well, it is my own opinion about this particular addon. And yes it is shitty because of errors that pop out when you start mission, and that's what I think about it. Period.

Yesterday we played Operation Barracuda v1.2, multiplayer, 2 players, over LAN.

We liked the scenario very much, but several bugs spoiled the fun.

1. Once we were helocasted into the sea two of the divers reported "out of ammo" all the time till mission's end.

These were always team members 3 and 5, no matter played by player or AI. They had their ammo with them, and used it with good effect, but kept reporting "out of ammo". I ordered one of them to switch his primary weapon to one of fallen guerilla's AKs. It didn't help.

This bug occurred every time we played in two. It never occurred when single person played the multiplayer game.

2. Occasionally some team members were injured during the helocast. Sometimes they didn't report the injuries but drown before reaching the shore anyway.

3. The hostages stuck in the building they were held in. We cleared the building and its surroundings, losing team member 4 in the building. The hostages joined my team, one as new team member 4, and the other as team member 7. Then they were unable to leave the building. Both of them stood by opened doors and couldn't cross the doorway. I planted an explosive by the building's wall and touched it off. The whole building collapsed to ruins, leaving the hostages untouched and then one of them was able to get out, but the other one could not. At that point I declared mission accomplished.

4. The silencers problem. It's very troublesome that Seals inserted into AQ territory with a stealth mission don't have the silencers attached to their primary weapons by default. There is no direct way to order AI team member to attach the silencer (no such order in '6' menu). I had to do it manually - attach my silencer to my rifle, drop the rifle, order AI team member to switch to it, pick up his unsilenced rifle, open his backpack, take his silencer, and repeat the steps four times. Even then I could not find a silencer in the backpack of UAV operator, leaving his rifle the only unsilenced.

5. Why can't we use the Zamak truck left by the hostages building? I personally hate blocked vehicles in scenarios, as it goes against the whole idea of sandbox game.

We're gonna try German Special Forces Mission Pack next.
