Framerate limiters limit frame rate fluctuations into high, useless ranges. Like 130 FPS I get in the Multiplayer role selection menu. Benefits apart from lower heat generation: - smoother apparent framerate - lower CPU and GPU load that results in lower *frame times*! Thanks for the reminder. I'm sure many people, like myself, find those limiters spacing too coarse. @Greenfist just PM-ed me about his experience with MSIA/RTSS. Long story short - it works.
