tremanarch 6 Posted March 31, 2013 (edited) The same problem occured in ArmA 2. http://www.abload.de/img/screenshot56526tjdt.png why cant we increase the range for higher detail levels? at least road signs and other signs should be readable. its very high setting, and I tried setting terrain etc to ultra didnt change the blurried roadsign. edit: set texture quality to very high improved it a bit. http://www.abload.de/img/screenshot85697kk1y.png but the option to set texture quality to very high keeps dissapearing - it resets to high.... is 1GB Vram not enough? max power 21 Posted March 31, 2013 What you're looking at is not Level of Detail but mipmaps. Mipmaps are strictly a texture thing and they are controlled in your texture settings.
tremanarch 6 Posted March 31, 2013 thx! so I guess I have to invest in more VRAM in the future because the option to use higher Texture Settings is greayed out - not available (which is a good thing when I have too low memory for that)
Tuliq 2 Posted March 31, 2013 You should turn your anisotropic filtering up to the max.
-=seany=- 5 Posted March 31, 2013 ^ yes force AF to x16 in nvidia control panel (if you have nvidia, that is). Also, about the High /Very high option. This seems to always be available when the game loads, but after when you actually play a mission etc it seems to only go as high as it was when the game was initially loaded....I think. It behaves different to A2 anyway, whether it's a bug or by design I have no clue.
