Keep a straight face, and make eye contact. But not too much eye contact - that'll make them suspicious. And if you can include some details it will be more credible. But don't go overboard! That's a dead giveaway.

Seriously though, the default key for Prone (lying down) is "Z". Is that what you mean?

I think he means lying on your back. Go prone then stance modify into high prone.

it's a cool position, could be useful, but characters spinning around on its back like a top. not so much.

To do the last stand animation, you also must have your pistol out when you go from Prone (Z) to High Prone (Ctrl W). Otherwise you will sit on the ground with your rifle up.

You will however go to 'last stand' if you switch weapons while on the ground.
