What is this attachment on my gun? Can I switch to it?

its colimator sights for the grenade launcher

So how do I use it? Do I just scope while the grenade launcher is equipped?

What are you talking about. It works perfectly for me.

People don't realize that if you set the range to 400. And aim at a target that is 400m away, but not on the same elevation as you. You won't hit him, you have to compensate for height difference yourself.

There's more to it then that and I'm not an expert but this is what I do know.

You swith to the GL using F.

Then you lift up gun to look through sight and use Page Up/Down keys to adjust sight up or down to increase the range (trajectory really) which the grenade will be launched allowing of course for the elevation to the target.

Someone else here can give a better explanation than I but hopefully it makes a lil more sense. :)

Well, not for me - the grenade allways hits at a shorter range than where i think it should.

Put a soldier on the airfield exactly 100m away from you, set the range to 100m, use the sights to aim at the spot where the soldier is standing and fire the grenade - it falls at least 10m short before the soldier - i do not consider that to be ok, although ofcourse i can compensate for that.
