Altis and Stratis

I won't keep arguing. It's obvious you don't get the point.

There is none. If it helps me bomb your forces & base into oblivion - then I welcome it. One airfield per island or not.

a lot of highways have "extra large" strips whith easy to remove middle section just for the possibility to transform them into landing strips. (More infos: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Highway_strip - look even greece has them :D )

So saying that it is unrealistic to land on a street is just wrong. It would be much more unrealistic to have 2 big airports on a small island like altis. Also i think that there will be a secundary landing strip somewhere - as it was always the case since ArmA1. Just some small flat "gras" area - if not already you can imagine by yourself that they put som split or similar to stabilize the ground.

Yep, here's a RL map of Lemnos road network & topography: I see a lot of places to land/refuel/take-off/kick-ass - http://www.recko.name/obrazy/mapy/map_limnos.jpg

Trim down the breaking distance & strip length for lighter jets with afterburners.

Make do with what you have.

L-39 can land anywhere. :p L-59 is going to kick ass once again! Hope it has counter measure systems & missile launch warning this time.

It was the only one out of the few that I used that could fit down the road :p But yeah I love flying that thing.

OK I finally decided to join a discusion

Aero L-59 is just L-39 with Lotarev DV-2 engine and improved fuselage so called "Super albatros". Currently serving with Egyptian and Tunisian airfoces. Since they are both jet trainers they don't have any RWR system.

I guess you mean Aero L-159 ALCA which is meant to be a light, low cost CAS aircraft and therefore it comes with "full package" a-a, a-g radar amd RWR

Yes... meant this one. I'd say it's capable of competing even against the F-35, seeing that they should have the same armaments and I don't think TAB+Click=boom is going anywhere just yet. :)

Well.......I'm not really sure, in a real life L-159 ALCA is just baby version of A-10/Su-25 (with latest avionics though) and F-35 is supposed to be a high performance supersonic jet.

Oh yes, and it can land ANYWHERE :D
