Hosting wasteland mod on private server

Apologies if this is a badly placed thread, I'm new to this forum;

Some friends and I bought an ARMA server to play together on and mess around (it's not public, only the few of us who bought it used it), and initally we used it for DayZ, but after playing Wasteland, we think it would be a far better mod for how we play together (I.e. fighting over towns in teams; base building & randomly spawning weapons and vehicles make this interesting). I can't seem to find the mod for download for servers anywhere, is it available to host privately, or is it strictly reserved for the public servers it's currently hosted on? Or is there perhaps a mod you'd better recommend for this?

Hello and welcome,

1) Wasteland isn't a mod

2) You're posting in the wrong forum section (user missions would have been a better choice)

3) Chances are you already have Wasteland lurking on your HD. Enable hidden folders/files and then look for this:

C:/Users/*Username*/appdata/local/ArmA 2 OA/MPMissionsCache

(Dir might be different depending on your setup ofc)

Having found that file how would I go about using it to run a server? Unfortunately I'm not very tech-savvy :c

1. Get Mission PBO.

2. Go to ArmA 2 OA root directory.

3. Place Mission PBO in MPMissions folder.

4. Start ArmA, go to Multiplayer

5. Press New, then change the server type from LAN to Internet, put any Server name and any password you like.

6. Select the map which the mission is on, highlight the mission and press play.

7. Give the name of the server to your friends, and have fun :)
