TullemulleN 1 Posted November 3, 2012 Hey, ever since I bought Arma 2 and Operation arrowhead and played multiplayer, I get freeze lags 3 to 4 times and then it stops and all is normal for like 5 minutes and then the procedure happens again 3-4 times, etc. I have been searching for solutions and if anyone else has had/having the same problem but can't find any fixes. Don't know if it has something to do with my CPU it is 2-3 years old (Intel Core 2 DUo E8500 3.16GHz, Socket LGA775, 6MB, 13333Mhz) Any type of help to resolve it would be very much appreciated! Thanks!

kklownboy 43 Posted November 3, 2012 And the rest of your Hardware is? I think a HardDrive defrag would help, and check your AntiVirus software.
SnowSky 12 Posted November 3, 2012 And the rest of your Hardware is? I think a HardDrive defrag would help, and check your AntiVirus software. I think too it might be related to the harddisk. Are there some Programs in the background which might write or read something? If you do not play, and do nothing at all, can you see that the harddisk gets used periodically? (Normally cases have a led next to the systemstate led for HDD-Operations, but you can also hear your disk working) I'm sure a lot of little tools exist which store statistics about read/write operations too. Else I'd say we need more informations about your system

jedra 11 Posted November 4, 2012 If you're playing DayZ then you are probably running with the latest beta too. This is a commonly reported symptom of the last couple of betas. Try joining a normal Arma2 server without the beta running and see if your symptoms persist.
