tortuosit 486 Posted September 29, 2012 Hi, out of curiosity... I've never had an XBox and my question is: Will XBox users always be stuck to the initial version? Or do they have a way to update? If they can't update, that would be positive IMO, because then BI doesn't have to take care of that machines any more, good for the PC users :) TIA
jedra 11 Posted September 29, 2012 Games on the Xbox 360 (and PS3) are updated and patched as with their PC counterparts. What you won't see on the Xbox though is the modding tools - only the PC version will be modable.
Gnrl_Grad 1 Posted September 29, 2012 It's definately a game that would be served well with updates and dlc etc. And if the game does well on the xbox it will most likely be a benefit to pc users too as the more interest and money that a game generates the more the devs will hopefully continue to support and update it for all platforms. Yes I know, that's the other side of the coin. Maybe they'll hire a pathfinding/ai expert one day from all the new money :/ Because I know it's not an easy task and a topic of computer science. harbinger 1 Posted September 29, 2012 All the AI/Pathfinding suckability can be easily fixed. There is no "intelligence" required for a process to look at another process and determine the valid paths available to it. It's not chess - it's simply following colours that represent valid routes. It's not like the terrain is randomly generated, everything is essentially bitmapped, and thus there is a "proper" route though everything. They just have to let the Walruses know that ;)
