Iroquois Pliskin 0 Posted September 19, 2012 (edited) Be more specific on your CPU, since 8 cores, or 12, I don't think ArmA II can even take advantage of a quad core, that's why individual CPU architecture matters - quality over quantity. :) A HD 6970 should be able to max out the game. Regardless of CPU, choose a "High" quality preset on all settings, then disable Anti-Alising and turn off Vsync. Video memory should be set to "Default" and Texture Quality to "High". chrisb 196 Posted September 19, 2012 It certainly takes advantage of my quad core, one core at 90+ the other three at 70+ each, when things get heated. However, yes you should not have much of a problem with your 6970, put your in-game settings on here and tell us what frame rates your getting, bit more info on your pc would be good as well..:)
Leon86 13 Posted September 19, 2012 in cities or scenario's with a lot going on the cpu will hold you back unless you run at very gpu heavy settings.
[frl]myke 14 Posted September 20, 2012 Will my PC Run this? What CPU/GPU to get? What settings? System Specifications. §7) Search before posting If you have a question, please use the forum search function before posting to make sure that it hasn't been answered before. There is a big chance it has, not only does searching help to keep the forum free of multiple threads it will also help you to get an answer much quicker. §8) Post in the right forum & right thread Please ensure you make new threads in the correct forum, if you're unsure of which forum to post in feel free to ask a moderator. If a thread exists for the topic you wish to post about you must use it, for example all ACE questions belong in the ACE thread. All addon/mod questions belong in the thread for that addon/mod. In the case of DayZ discussions they should be posted on the DayZ forums, this includes problems with the Modification. The troubleshooting forum is not for problems with Addons and Mods!
