superdudey12 1 Posted July 25, 2012 Hey everyone! I need some help please! I was trying to install ACE for arma CO, and then all of a sudden when I try to launch OA it gives me this error message on the loading bar "No enty 'bin/config.bin/CfgInGameUI/MPTable/shadow' then it goes on to try and load then shows this message "Error compiling pixel sgaper PSSpecularAlpha:0". I think when messing around with my install folder I may have accidently deledted something. Any help would be much appreciated. I have also run the game before with no issue. superdudey12 1 Posted July 25, 2012 well I've now gotten rid of all the mod stuff and it should just be a vanilla install. An reinstall isnt really an option for me, because I'm on dial up, and cant really aford the $100 of assorted things to get to town and the local internet cafe. I should also say that this is a non steam version of arma 2 oa. Any solution would help me... You know that you can burn the installation files on DVDs or store them on your (external) drive? Especially in your case I would have made several backups just in case. ACE2 does not replace any of your core game files, it's all stored in their own Mod folders. Make sure you have removed the following folders: @ACE, @ACEX, @ACEX_RU, @ACEX_SM, @ACEX_USNavy, @CBA, @CBA_A2, @CBA_OA and userconfig Recently a few users had the same error messages as you do, maybe their threads may have a solution: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?123742 http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?129275 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Gunter Severloh 3950 Posted July 25, 2012 Nothing to installing ACE. 1. Download the ACE core--->http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=12155 then extract when you have the file 2. Move the @ACE to your Arma2 directory where the arma2oa.exe is 3. Go inside that @ACE folder and look for a folder that says store 4.in the store folder look for a zip file that says userconfig and then extract it 5. Take the userconfig folder from the store folder and move it in to the Arma2 directory, (same place as the @ACE folder) 2 things: 1. you need CBA to run ACE get it here-->http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=6231 2.create a desktop shortcut follow below: Desktop shortcut 1. Find the Arma2OA.exe in your Arma2 Directory then right click it, and send to (desktop -(create shortcut) 2. Locate the shortcut on your desktop, right click it and then go to properties at the bottom 3. a new window opens up, now look at the top where it says target next to target is an open box (very top)in that box 4. type 1 space after the arma2oa.exe--> -nosplash -mod=@CBA;@CBA_A2;@CBA_OA;@ACE 5. hit apply (bottom right), then ok and then double click and launch the game with ACE running. For CBA move the files @CBA,@CBA_A2, and @CBA_OA to the same directory (Arma2 directory) where the @ACE mod folder is.
