Spooken 1 Posted July 16, 2012 My brother got Arma 2 and Operation Arrowhead some two weeks ago via Steam, but his computer couldnt handle it. So I switched Steam user on my computer to his account and downloaded his game. We tried it out and it was fun, so I decided to buy a copy myself. First we just switched user, bought it and tried to play together when he was on another comp, this didnt work since we had the same player ID. So I tried deleting all local content and reistall it via my steam account, thinking this would solve the issue. It didn't. Any idea on how to fix this? .kju 3245 Posted July 16, 2012 You need to delete the registry entry of "arma2 oa" with the key entry.
Spooken 1 Posted July 16, 2012 Im sorry, but for a total noob, how do I find them?
Gunter Severloh 4088 Posted July 16, 2012 (edited) Hi Spooken. On your computer hit start then go to run type regedit now under HKEY_CURRENT_USER look for software then find Bohemia Interactive software click on it, and delete Ama2OA repeat the above for the heading HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE done. close and see if that works for you. Spooken 1 Posted July 16, 2012 Removed the one under HKEY_CURRENT_USER Didnt find the one under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE at first but found two folders for Bohemia Interactive and Bohemia Interactive Studio under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node. Are these the ones i should be removing?
Gunter Severloh 4088 Posted July 16, 2012 I suggest just delete the whole Bohemia Interactive software folders under both HKEY_CURRENT_USER & HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. As when you reinstall they should be remade and new keys placed, but before you do back those folders up by right clicking and export the files to a safe folder. The once done reinstall and play. Considering its on steam, steam should reinstall everything for you.
Placebo 31 Posted July 17, 2012 Be sure to run Steam as admin when you reinstall!
