andreamit 1 Posted July 8, 2012 So, I bought a 7950 (prev I had an nvidia gtx470), I'm running the game perfectly at very high, but if I turn postprocessing effects ON, I get strange visual glitches, like this one http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/256/2012062700001y.jpg/ I can see it particularly when I'm moving the visual and zooming around. So, is there any fix I can try? Any video settings I should consider? thank you. p.s. i have the latest ATI drivers.
Babar 10 Posted July 9, 2012 Hi andreamit. I just built a new computer and got the 7850 and had similar problems. Try turning down your Anti-aliasing and Anisotropic Filtering. I have them both completely off and all of my visual glitches went away.

domokun 515 Posted July 10, 2012 Guys, try the tweaks listed in the post (in particular the AToC=0 & disabling AA & using PPAA instead) http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?85124-ArmA2-OA-%28low%29-performance-issues&p=2081466#post2081466 And let us know how you get on. Placebo 29 Posted July 10, 2012 I have an ATI card and also need to do some tweaking as I was getting some really weird stretched polygons in DayZ when I zoom into the distance, will grab some screenies shortly but presumably that kind of issue will ring a bell for someone? ;) Windows 7 64bit, 8gb ram, ATI Catalyst 12.6, 2gb ATI Radeon 6900, patched OA with latest beta :)

I think it was the tanktraps or something that was bugged at some point.
Placebo 29 Posted July 10, 2012 Hmm I think I'm getting it from multiple objects, need to test further just haven't had time!
Placebo 29 Posted July 19, 2012 I just installed 1.61 RC3 with the latest DayZ alpha and no more visual issues, the game is looking stunning IMO.
jedra 11 Posted July 19, 2012 I had the weird polygons in DayZ too - not all the time, but just occasionally with buildings when zoomed in. Since I updated to the 12.7 beta drivers I have not seen them (and I had not seen them prior to the 12.6 drivers either).
Placebo 29 Posted July 19, 2012 Yeah I'm on 12.6 but I did change all the catalyst settings to default so will try maxing those out and see if it affects it ingame :)
chrisb 196 Posted July 19, 2012 Maybe of interest to ATI/AMD card users. I have the following setting: AToc=6 PPAA=2 PPAA_Level=2 In-game the AA set to low and PP off (just personal pref the PP). The effect I get in-game is high-very high AA even though its only set to low. So its very nice to have AA looking like its set on high-very high without any performance issues. Running 12.1 in ccc.
