dunno about that. I was stationed at Stewart for a while. It would be pretty hard to top that place.

Haven't been to Ft. Stewart, but I have spent alot of time at Benning. I know how shitty Georgia can be. Ft Polk is awful. The whole place smells like crap and the buildings are contructed from solid asbestos. Just pure nasty. Climate wise, I doubt anything can be as bad as Ft. Richarson and Ft. Wainwright, Alaska. I've been to both. Get eaten by mosquitos in the summer and freeze to death in the winter.

I'm an 11B in the Guard (3/124th INF).  I agree with PitViper, Ft. Stewart sucks raw a**.  I just got back from my two week AT there a couple of weeks ago.  It was completely miserable, I lost over 10 lbs while I was there, mostly from sweating my balls off humping endless miles with the 240B.  The bugs were unbearable, I'm still finding ticks on my body.  I don't care if I ever see that place again.

Next year we are going to JRTC for AT.  Woohoo!  Those active duty opfor guys are going to slaughter us. I hear they are pretty sharp. Is this true? 11b?

Negative. They are a bunch of dumb hillbillies. They cheat by take advantage of certain EXROE protocols (Exercize Rules of Engagement). We you are within 10 meters of someone you can't point the muzzle of your weapon at them. You shoot at the ground and yell "close kill." So the Opfor runs around like a bunch of morons yelling "close kill." One will run up to a group of 10 soldiers, fire off three rounds and yell that you are all dead. Plus they have all kind of cheat weapons like chemlight grenades and satchel charges that the O/C's didn't bother to tell us were legal in the EXROE briefing. Your JRTC experience will be alot different since you are in a conventional unit. Mine was in the Spec Ops Division. They threats we deal with are more guerrilla/terrorist type threats. Drivebys, bombings, etc....

You will hate JRTC....everyone does.

Our JRTC motto: "They more tired I am, the more stupid you become." MAJ Chavez, S-3 Current Operations

It serves no purpouse to dig up old threads. They will get closed down as soon as a moderator spots it and the one that bumped it might get in trouble.
