Prolly a dumb question an' all...

Recommended Posts

But can anyone give me links to servers where In can blow things up? Tried Gamespy, but can only be looped around so many ads to reach my own asshole before I lose patience.

Thanks in advance smile.gif

The V1.60 public beta has a server browser built-in. It is still being tweaked by the developers at BIS, but it is functional at this point.

ROFL

Make sure it's the short one noone likes biggrin.gif

Select Multiplayer menu of the OFP 1.60 and select "Remote" from the top right. (Or is it called Internet now? bah) then the browser will start downloading a list of servers.

Make sure you run the 1.60 executable not the original 1.46.

You must be aware that when updating to 1.60 your shortcuts on your desktop are not updated and still open the old 1.46 executable. You will need to create a new shortcut to the OFPMPTEST.EXE located in your \OFP\ folder.

Then the server browser should work fine smile.gif

Maybe we'll see you on Gameplanet's Dedicated OFP Server biggrin.gif

Regards,

You have to click on "Internet" before OFP V1.60 will scan for servers. Also, the port numbers for the socket implementation are different from the DirectPlay one, so you may need to update your firewall configuration.

Anyway, I'm showing plenty of V1.60 servers...

Well, eventually you SHOULD pay for it.

Yes, you can download it and use it without ever paying for it, but you would be taking advantage of the developers at UDPSoft. If you want to support the developers and ensure continuing updates and bug fixes, you should get a one-year subscription or a lifetime license.
