McCann 1 Posted August 29, 2012 Absolutely get ARMA 2. ARMA 2 has a lot of life left and isn't going anywhere any time soon.
maturin 12 Posted August 29, 2012 I'd recommend getting used to ArmA 2: Free and revisiting the decision.
luthor 1 Posted September 8, 2012 Buy Arma 2 now. There is still time till Arma 3 is out, probably in early 2013. Also you will support the developers. DayZ will be converted to Arma 3, no doubt.

OMAC 254 Posted September 11, 2012 (edited) Get A2CO, and as an extra bonus, you can get THIS for free: http://cwr.armedzone.com/news/cwr2_demo4/ They say it's just a mod, but it's really a GAME! And on top of that, here's another 62 SP/MP missions: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?121301-CWR2-coop-pack http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?135954-CWR2-standalone-islands-coop-pack Edited September 12, 2012 by OMAC
Degtyarov 1 Posted September 15, 2012 I think Arma 2 is a must-have if you are into this type of game at all. There is just so much content and a huge, vivid community, making for tons of great mods. Besides, it'll still take some time before Arma 3 is released, so you might as well kill some time with Arma 2. And trust me, you can spend a lot of hours on this game. Iroquois Pliskin 0 Posted September 16, 2012 If anything... you'll be able to acclimatise yourself to the concept of ArmA: learn the mechanics of bullet ballistics, get to know the various optics, scope systems and aircraft, APC, tank applications and limits - they won't change a lot in ArmA III, some technical specs might vary, a new physics engine will be implemented for vehicles, which itself won't impact on the concept of tank/aircraft warfare.
