  1. Im having problem with A2 patch 1.05-1.11. Whenever I try to update it extracts to 99% then gives the error "The system could not find the file specified". If I use the 1.62 CO patch it verifies that A2 is already at 1.11 and continues to patch the DLC and does not give an error. If I launch A2 then my version is 1.10 not 1.11 as verified by the 1.62 patch. This also means that I cannot install AoCR or AoCR lite because I need A2 to patch to 1.11. Does anybody know how to resolve this?? Its driving me nuts. Extra info: This is on a fresh install of the retail dvd version of ArmA X. I have un-installed and re-installed several times to no avail. Also tried installing from ArmA 2 (2010) DVD patched from 1.0 to 1.9. Still no joy. Tried running the patch that's included in OA 1.62 seperately via WinRAR. It appears to update with no errors but when I check in-game, version is still 1.9. I have tried the patches from the officia website and several from other sites. None have worked. More info: When I tried with the ArmA X dvd I installed the games together to make a Combined ops folder, But with the 2010 DVD I made them separate installs. Even more: If I try executing the 1.05-1.11 patch, or the one embedded in the 1.60 CO update using WinRAR I get a "could not complete operation" error. Workaround (not ideal): So as I have spent time on this I feel as though the official patch is actualy corrupt and is something BIS need to change ASAP. As for a workaround I have been fortunate as I have another computer with a Steam copy of A2 installed and I copied most of the files/folders (all the folders except DirectX & Battle eye, ArmA.exe and the ijl5.dll) and everything seems to be ok, AoCR has installed and my A2 is now showing ver 1.11. Like I said this is not ideal as I was luck to have access to a Steam library with A2 installed.

[RG]Bravo Two Zero Arma3 by Lightninguk

Sorry I didn't mean to come across as condescending and thanks for checking out my soundcloud glad you liked something on there @Lightninguk Just had a quick solo play and I like it. Managed to get to within 500m of some boats before being mercifully cut down by a small task force on my six (got two of em though). I would suggest maybe adding some static troops at the sector base as when I went there it was empty and a bit of an anticlimax, not too many though maybe a small patrol of 4-6 would add some more tension. An ammo box with a small selection of enemy rifles would have also been handy as that was my main motivation for going there, unless there is one and I missed it. EDIT; And yeah I think escape and evasion would be more suitable. @WetNeptune this is going OT but I read the book of that, raises a few questions certainly.

[RG]Bravo Two Zero Arma3 by Lightninguk

I don't think this is supposed to be a "based on a true story" mission that tries to meticulously re-create actual events more a escape and evasion mission with a Bravo-Two-Zero 'feel'.@Lightninguk; thanks! DL now :)

    Did BI push an update?

Nothing has changed for me, fps the same, files the same.
  7. Cool, gunna test this out in a bit. I think you should have called it Stratisfaction *baddum tsss*
  8. I would also like a smoother transition between the two movement states, it seems a bit odd having that half second pause lol

  11. Its true the controls and interface are the biggest stumbling block when you first get in-game and the tutorials dont really help. What I would suggest is skipping the tutorials altogether and getting in the editor to create a specific scenario whereby you can explore aspects and controls at leisure. As for tooltips there are none really but I can give you some pointers to help out. 1) Yes there are lots of commands/keys which seem confusing, but you will only need to use a few of them depending on the situation. 2) Turn down/off smoothing in the options it helps reduce mouse-lag. 3) Practice with simple scenario's first, the tutorials are very bare and short and are more of a "new features" thing. 4) When you saw "Drag body" it was a context sensitive action that appears for certain actions in the game world - if you press your primary mouse button it will perform the action displayed, no need to press enter. 5) Dont give up. Once you get more familiar with the controls the real fun/joy begins. 6) If you cant make or dont want to make a scenario, then jump in a well populated server and just ask questions, I did and still do (occasionaly);).
  12. Just tested this in editor and managed to kill an A.I with an AS50 by 6 times shooting their M16 (from 100m) and their Javelin (from 50m) so I guess yeah it should work. Edit: Did more testing with the L85A2 and the rounds ricochet off sometimes without causing any wound but i have yet to reproduce the same result with the AS50 - all rounds that hit/ricochet off the weapon achieved a kill.

Arma 2 free- dynamic zombie sandbox

Hi, first, welcome to the forums! Second, I have had this problem with the full version of ArmA CO - I never found a 'fix' it just went away. Thirdly, you might want to post in this thread as its the thread relating directly to that mod :) http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198012321922/
