svarun 16 Posted May 10, 2012 (edited) My game was working fine the past two years but now suddenly this happend to my Arma2. I tried reinstalling the game and graphic drivers but it didn't work. My system specs: Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit Processor: Intel® Core2 Duo CPU E7200 @ 2.53GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.5GHz Memory: 3072MB RAM DirectX Version: DirectX 11Graphic card: ATI HD3600 Edited May 10, 2012 by Svarun
[frl]myke 14 Posted May 10, 2012 Hmm...looks like either your GPU is dying or the VRam. If possible try to borrow a graphic card from a friend (preferably a ATI since you already have the drivers) and see if the problem can be solved this way. :EDITH: Or it is overheating. Open your case and see if the GPU cooler is covered with dust. If so, remove it with a brush and a vac cleaner or pressured air (if available). Make sure you cut off power before opening the case! jacknorrisuk 146 Posted May 10, 2012 Wow, looks a bit like that Red Faction cover art... I had something similar last year, but it turns out it was my graphics card. It could be something completely different in your case.
svarun 16 Posted May 10, 2012 GPU temp is on same levels as before when it was still working and computer is regulraly being cleaned. Other games work without problems so I don't think that GPU is dying. Graphic drivers?
KrIxXuS 10 Posted May 10, 2012 I have had very similar issues using latest drivers :s so i now have reverted back a few no current issues after hours of testing. Currently using 12.1 drivers was using the latest 12.4.
dmarkwick 261 Posted May 10, 2012 I've seen problems like that before, most usually associated with hardware failure, as in graphics card.
Baraka 10 Posted May 10, 2012 Maybe a Benchmark like "3D-Mark" can clear up if it´s an Arma or a Hardware fail. When the GPU goes crazy, google for "GPU" and "baking oven".
[frl]myke 14 Posted May 10, 2012 GPU temp is on same levels as before Which is? Other games work without problems so I don't think that GPU is dying. Other games tend to have other shaders/engine which might load the GPU/Vram differently. It is either hardware failure or driver problem, most likely. It is almost certain not caused by ArmA 2, ArmA 2 just reveals the existing problem.
